Sizzix/Cuttlebug question

I have a cuttlebug. I was at AC Moore last night and they had a bunch of stuff on clearance (I got cute tags and square cuttlebug dies for $4 each, regular $15) and a sizzix slide mount die. I can use the sizzix one in my cuttlebug right? It was only $2.99 so if not, no huge loss

Is it the sizzlets slide mount die? If so, it should work. I don't remember if the cuttlebug needs more shims to use the sizzix or if the sizzix needs more shims to use the cuttlebug. Either way, it's the big ellisons that might not fit in the bigkick or cuttlebug. I think Shauna knows the answer.

it is the sizzlet, it's really thin, looks similar to the cuttlebug dies but I haven't opened them yet. it was such a good price, I couldn't pass it up

Sizzlits have been no problem for me with the Cuttlebug. I just use the same ABB sandwich like the Cuttlebug dies. I've used Sizzix embossing folders and needed a cardboard shim. I've used the originals as well with a BB sandwich.

Creative Xpress had such a good clearance I couldn't pass up. Got alphabar sets for $10 each, numbers under $7. Embossing folders around a buck and a half. Cheap originals for a couple of bucks and Sizzlets in four pack sets around $5.

Splitcoaststampers has a Cuttlebug Sandwich Recipe sheet that was helpful for me.

I tried it - it worked but is it supposed to leave marks on the B plate?

My dies leave marks, both Cuttlebug and Sizzix (not the embossing folders, just the dies). I've heard this from other Cuttlebug owners. The plates will bend/warp a bit too regardless of which dies you use. Keep putting the dies in different places and use both sides of each plate to keep the wear and tear even and the plate flat. Make sense? Hope that helps.

it does, thanks. This is the first time I've had any of these dies. I got the cuttlebug just to emboss but the dies were too good a deal to pass up
