I just looked at this week's specials flyer at Hobby Lobby and all Sizzix products are 50% off this week (no coupons needed).

Will this be the week that I finally break down and buy a Sizzix?

Go for it! I love mine! But try to break down & buy an alphabet with it while you're at it! Those Sizzlets with the shadows are soooo cute! :Pinkbounc

Hi, I'm kind of a newbie to scrapbooking. I've got 6 kids so I have lots of pictures to do. My main interest is getting the pictures in an album and journaling. My dilemma is....do I buy the sizzix or not. This would be a good time since all the stuff is 50% off. Even at 50%off, it's expensive. What all do you use these for? I guess what I'm thinking is, how many times would you actually use each individual template. Wouldn't a packgae of die cuts do the same thing? They must be a big seller because my Hobby Lobby had a whole display.

I wasn't sure about its cost-effectiveness either. But I originally got it for DDIL at Christmas & decided to just go ahead & get it. Now I have one too. I'm hoping to get an alphabet at Christmas. I also use tags a lot. I'm pleased with my purchase & don't feel like I wasted the money. When you buy die cuts you're limited to the colors the manufacturer decides you might want. You know?

My son uses mine for school projects as well. He used it to do a musical review poster and placed in the top 10 for the 6th graders!

Hi. What kind of price would you pay for the machine at Hobby Lobby? Here in Ontario, Canada, I saw one for $70.00 at a scrapbooking store.Toooo much for me. But we are heading to Port Huron at the end of June for a end of school/first of summer holiday. I want to start saving now.

Most of the stores have them for about $80 US. However, if you hit a week with a sale, you can get them for $40 - $50. And then there's the coupon weeks. ;) Occasionally there will be a 50% coupon, but mostly they're 40% off. One good thing is that most Michaels/ACMoore/JoAnns will accept coupons from the other stores.

Woah! And I just pointed this particular item out to DS when he and I were running some errands Sat, standing in line at HL. Hmmm...don't remember seeing that listed in the newspaper ad...must be an in store only ad.

ANd with Mother's Day right around the corner too....

Our hobby lobby said the reason why they are 50% off is because they are discontinuing carrying them. So whats left is what is left and they aren't doing rainchecks. :(

They have very few at my hobby lobby. In fact no more machines. Some of the alphabet letters (not sizzlets) are 170. So half off would be 85. With a Michaels coupon of 40% off they would be 90 because they cost more at hobby lobby.

Our HL has sizzix for 30% off this week. They have a circle die and square die that I am thinking about getting--myabe I'll hint to my ds about that for mother's day!

I hate to hear that. I did go to my local HL last night after work and picked up a few things at 50% off (the storage tower, about 5 dies, 2 stencils). I did notice that they didn't have that many items. They had sizzlets letters but didn't have any that I wanted.:sad2: They were $150 so half price they would be $75. They had "bounce" and "weird girls" at least I think that was the name of them. Maybe next week what is left will be 60% off  (one can only hope).

Guess we are lucky to have ACMoore and Michaels in town to take up the slack - especially since I only recently purchased the sizzix machine.

I was just in Michaels (don't ask?!?) and all Sizzix are 30% off there!!! I was so proud of myself . . . I only bought ONE, the jungle leaves (yellow die) . . . somehow I STILL ended up spending over $60 dollars :confused3

I did pick up fiber for dd's swap item!! :cool1: VERY pretty color!! I'm going to make her cut it into yards . . . I SWEAR!!!
