Size of SSR compared to CSR??

That's why all the villas have either a kitchenette (studios) or full kitchen (one bedroom and larger). SSR and OKW are more like a community that a hotel. And that's what is great about them.

.... My favorite resort is AKL because of the lobby and hallways to the room.

We have stayed at CSR and loved it too. The Pepper Market is my favorite of all places to eat! What a selection!
IF you are staying at one of the rooms near the main pool at CSR I think it is actually farther than any of the rooms at SSR from the main building?

I agree with above, once you stay at SSR you will like it as well as CSR! Both are very relaxed and uncrowded in their atmoshpere! No comparison to the screaming, splashing, running, fun little ones at the value resorts!! (Just glad we have been there done that and now able to relax while waiting for the next generation to spoil at Disney!)
