DVC is small potatoes compared to the timeshare industry giants, and their huge size hasn't diluted their brand. Marriott, Hilton, and Fairfield/Wyndham are still respected names.

Increasing member numbers means more properties will be built, which increases the value of my membership.

It's about having a nice place to stay, not about feeling superior to anyone else, whether those are people who purchased memberships in the last year or people who own with another company.

Besides, with my good looks and quick wit, I already feel superior enough :rotfl2:

I enjoy my DVC membership. The addition of AKV has added so much to the experience of going to WDW. I look forward to the expansion. I get good service from DVC and look forward to each trip with enthusiasm!!!:yay: Just added a night to DS's trip with us. Our family is spread out, just getting together is :cloud9:

I agree.

DVC expansion may change the brand rep of "the theme park timeshare" to the "family vacation timeshare", but that's not the same as diluting it.

I have reservations about how offsite growth will effect onsite reservations, but I still like the idea of DVC expansion. They've shown with their cruise line and ABD that they can get into other travel ventures and still retain signature Disney magic.
