We are going to Vegas and need to rent a 12 passenger van. SixT has a great price, but I have never used them. Is this a reputable company? Any experience with them in Vegas' airport? Thanks so much for your time.

SixT is a European company, so their footprint in the United States isn't as well known as most of the domestic companies. I used them once – not in Vegas – and had a fine experience.

Have you read reviews of the Vegas location? That's a good starting point.

Also important to think about what you'll be doing in Vegas. Will you be staying on the Strip? It's a very short drive from the airport, and having a car in Vegas isn't necessary with the amount of Uber/Lyft/cabs available. If you're looking to venture out further than the main tourist stuff, you'd be wise to rent a vehicle.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, we are driving to Sedona and Grand Canyon. We are only staying in Vegas for a couple of nights. Since we have 9 people, we need a big van. I normally use Alamo, but SixT's website beats their price by 175 bucks. Would love a great deal, but want a vehicle that is safe and a company that is reputable. Again, thanks for your reply.

have you driven this size of van? if not I would suggest driving one before your trip

Not sure if the two who are driving have driven a 12 passenger van or not. Good idea to try one if not. I will find out.

Unofficial Guide (for DisneyWorld) has them rated high (#4?) Author noted he had an issue with customer service being slow when picking up - good return.

Thanks for your reply. Yelp doesn't have them rated very well. Hard to know whether to trust reviews on other sites. I like these boards better. Thanks so much.

If you rent a 14 or 15 seater, ask for a brand new transit style, these have AC outlets in every row, very comfy seats, great to drive and all in all it drives just like a truck. So if anyone who is listed to drive currently drives a double cab or extended bed truck then it will be no probelm. My own truck is actually longer so parking was actually easier lol. Just remember that Vegas has some very strict parking rules and staying at hotels costs a pretty penny for even self park these days. Some hotels will include valet parking in their resort fee so you will just have to check. I usually stay at the Vdara twice a year, fantastic hotel and the only none smoking hotel on the strip!
