Six Flags Sends a message to Ex cons!

It's good to leave this as a general statement for legal purposes. That way, Six Flags could interpret it any way they like. "Acting inappropriately" could be just staring at kids. It wouldn't have to be a blatant action.

In the historical context of what happened at Six Flags, it is more than apparent what "acting inappropriately" means. If just staring at kids is acting inappropriately, then fully 99% of Six Flags guests would be thrown out of the park!

My point is Six Flags says if someone is acting inappropriately, Six Flags could do a background check. Now how long is that going to take. And does Six Flags think this is really going to help?

They should have just come out and said they are instituting a new screening program for all our employees. As a condition of working for Six Flags, they will submit to a criminal background check, which we will pay an outside reputable company to perform on our behalf. If we discover that an employee has a criminal record of a sexual offense, their employment will be immediately terminated.

If a guest acts inappropriately, depending on their behavior, they may be escorted from the park and/or arrested by the local police.

They just need to be upfront about it, instead of playing a game of feint and dodge.

I also see a bit of a slippery slope, with the way they chosen to word and publicize this new policy.

Just wanted to nudge this back toward the first page to see if any late night DIS'er's cared to weigh in. I find this an interesting topic and like reading other viewpoints, regardless if I agree with them or not. It's been very civil here and I enjoy it. Please weigh in with an opinion here, if you'd like. I may not agree, but I a value opinons.
