Jinx reporting!

My buddy August and I are planning to celebrate a birthday at Six Flags New England this year! (I live in MA)

I went on the website and there's nothing about special birthday things you can do, and I couldn't find any forums dedicated to Six Flags to get any sort of information. I am WAY too used to Disney! :lmao:

Has anyone been to this particular Six Flags and knows if they offer anything? I've learned that different Six Flags do different things, so if you've been to one other than the New England, it probably won't help much. Or maybe it will and there's something I don't know!

Help would be appreciated! :thumbsup2

EDIT: We haven't decided yet if it will be her birthday or mine...but if it's hers I'd like to be prepared with something nice! And if it's mine...well....nothin' wrong with preparing for my own good time, is there? ;)

Six Flags New England is one of the smaller Six Flags parks. I wouldn't expect them to do much for guest birthdays, simply because they don't seem to have a great deal of resources.

Your best bet is to go to Guest Relations when you get to the park and ask what is available. But chances are ... nothing. You can probably purchase a birthday party package, but that's likely more for little kids (birthday cake, balloons, Bugs Bunny souvenirs, etc) than anything else. There aren't any particularly fancy restaurants in the park, so it's not like you'll get any sort of birthday celebration with dessert; and the character meal is very much a "for kids" affair -- in fact, my friend and I (both single adults) couldn't even book a reservation for the character lunch because there was a policy that "childless adults" were not allowed (as a "protective measure" for the kids there ... I guess they thought we were scoping out little kids, not trying to get character autographs!).

One thing I'd do is to meet and greet as many characters (Looney Tunes and superheros) as you can find. Mention to every character that it's your friend's birthday. They'll make a fuss. They were really good about that with one couple we saw when we were there. The guy was wearing a home-made t-shirt that said, "It's my birthday today!", and every character they passed did something -- a thumbs-up, applause, etc. Wonder Woman wished him a "Super Birthday", and Flash made some comment about how the years just "flash by". They were pretty cute.

I don't know if they have any special birthday pins or anything like that, but again ... ask at Guest Relations. There's really no parade to be grand marshall of, and most of the shows don't have an interactive piece where they could pull your friend out and sing him "Happy Birthday." Most of the Six Flags parks have some sort of karaoke attraction -- might want to check that out. You could go up and sing "Happy Birthday" and get the rest of the crowd involved.

This is only my opinion so please no flaming...I really hate Six Flags New England. I live in CT and I have stopped going altogether. It is much more worth it to spend some extra time and drive down to Six Flags NJ, there are some pretty reasonable hotels if you want to spend the night.

I LOOOVVVVEEE amusement parks and I LOOOVVEEE roller coasters but Six Flags NE is just not worth it to me, the lines are always horrendous (when I go....not sure when your bday is....). Maybe it has gotten better since I have sworn it off!! If you end up going and I am wrong let me know because I might have to try it again!

No matter what you do I hope you guys have a great bday!
