Six Flags Great Adventure motel/hotels

Hi, am planning a very strictly budgeted trip to Six Flags in NJ this summer and would like to stay overnight.

Does anyone have a clean, cheap hotel that they stayed at that they would like to recommend? I am looking for something just to sleep in - so under $90 would be great.

Please tell me what the name was, what you paid and how long it took to get there from Six Flags

Here was a similar thread not that long ago. I live 20 minutes from the park, so I have never stayed at any hotels.

I'd go with Princeton area; we were there past weekend our youngest was competing nearby, there's some very nice hotels (Westin,Hampton Inn, Hyatt, Hilton GardenInn) & also lots of dining/shopping options. During summer I'd bid this area on Priceline (4star or 3 star level hotels); read up on hotels on trip advisor and to get a better idea on priceline bids that have been accepted in this area check out history at bidding for travel site.
