Six Feet Under (spoiler in whisper)

As I was watching last night, and all these characters from the past kept creeping into the storyline, Russell, Olivier, other art school friends/lovers, Ruth with Hiram, last show with Bettina showing up, that perhaps they are bringing everyone into the storyline before it all "ties" up when it finales. I've always liked this show, even when it got a little boring, and will miss it. But I do realize its better sometimes to go out on top than to run a good thing into the ground.

Can't ever say it was not interesting though through the seasons.... ;) :p It was good to see some of the old cast show up in these few episodes though.

Speaking of HBO shows, I was a little bummed that Carnivale will not be back, it was weird but good. The new Rome series looks pretty good too. I've not gotten in Entourage...but overall, HBO does a great job on its original series. Never myself was a fan of Oz, but my son really liked it. If I had followed it more closely, I may have liked it too, but I had missed too many of them... :flower:

What? Carnivale isn't coming back? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
:(

I couldn't really get into Carnivale, but Deadwood...wow. Love that one! Still though...I think Six Feet Under is my favorite.

The HBO series are the best thing going on tv right now. I always hate when the finales roll around.

I read someplace that Carnivale had been cancelled.........boo hoo... :sad1:

Oh yes, Deadwood is another good one......they just never seem to be on long enough..........Sopranos isn't due back I don't think til the first of next year..........wow, that has been some hiatus.........

We love Deadwood, it is my favorite HBO series. Sopranos used to be great but IMO, it isn't even worth the long wait now. Maybe taking all this time will make for an awesome last season but we'll see.

Oh no! I hadn't heard that about Carnivale!   I'd never been a big fan of TV until I started watching the HBO shows (Sex & the City, Sopranos, Carnivale, Deadwood, Six Feet Under). I never understood the attachment people had to the popular shows like Friends until I became attached to these shows.

I'm really sad to see Carnivale cancelled.

I just watched six feet under from last night (I tivo'ed it) and I'm in shock, my jaw had to be picked up off the floor. I don't want Nate to die!!! but since it is the last season it's highly likely that he did :( I am loving Keith and David's storyline with the kids, Vanessa finally being real with Rico and Claire finding a seemingly normal guy. I am so going to miss this show just as much as Carnivale'. *sniffles*

DH loves Deadwood - I can't get into it. I guess with all the labguage it seems like fake western to me....I don't know why??

I'll mis SFU also, but it has been getting a bit tedious this year.

I love "Entourage",the new Lisa Kudrow show ("Comeback") is kinda pitiful.

My husband and I disagree about this all the time. He thinks the language is authentic, but I don't think they'd be so free with it, especially in public (other than the bars).

The more I watch of the show, the more I love Al Swearingen!

I think HBO does a fantastic job with all of their mini-series, but I could never get into Deadwood, Oz, or Entourage. Lisa Kudrow's show The Comeback is pitiful, isn't it! I think that might be the first of their mini-series to fail miserably, I don't know anyone who likes/watches it!

I'll miss Carnivale, but I thought I read somewhere that they left the story kind of open in the end because it could come back for another season. Let's hope so anyway.

I miss Sex and The City like I miss a long lost close friend. I still love watching it when it's re-run.

And even though I hate the way it jerks us around with such long breaks in between seasons, I'm still a die hard Sopranos fan, always will be!

I'm looking forward to watching Rome, hope it's a good one!
