Six Degrees of Separation

It has been a long time saying and belief that everyone is connected to each other in SOME way by at least six people.

In other words, I could say I know Aerosmith...separated six people away. Here is how:

I know my sister who has a friend in her class who has a family member who owns a summer house in CA who knows a neighbor of a house owned by Aerosmith. And these neighbors had a cookout while Aerosmith was at that house.

Now, because we know each other through the DIS, that is considered as "one degree". I can say I know <DISmembernamehere> by one degree and if that person has any relations to knowing anyone, I would then be separated from that person by another degree.

While we don't know everyone our friends and family have met, or who those people have met, it is difficult to know the chains, but I believe, 100% that we are actually separated by everyone...yes I said everyone...by 6 degrees.

They haven't been able to prove this wrong yet (after many many years).

Yeah, it really is. But 6 is far less than then those outrageous numbers, lol. I know of some people who believe everyone is separated at least by 50-100 people, lol.

i've accually met avril lavigne and im connected to most every star...my big sis (from the bbbs program, so we arent accually related), well her bro works for a big record company (dont remember the name of it sorry)...thats how i got the tickets to go see avril lavigne..but that record company is connected to...well every star, if not 'first degree'...

Has anyone ever played the 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon? You name any actor and have to connect it to how they're connected to Kevin Bacon... personall, my connection with him is 2 degrees - my friend met him! lol (or I could go through Adam Pascal - worked with Taye Diggs in Rent, Taye appeared on Will & Grace, as did Kevin Bacon! ^__^)

I've heard this before.
I kind of like it.

My uncle is friends with a producer of Chicken Run (2), and Mel Gibson's voice was used in that movie (3), who was in the Patriot with Heath Ledger (4), who's fiancée is Michelle Williams (5), who was in Dawson's Creek with Katie Holmes (6)
So, basically, I have relations to Katie Holmes xD, and Tom Cruise as she is married to him.

I have noticed that you can connect almost anyone via Will & Grace!
