in a restaurant booth..do you sit across from each other or next to each?

I would always want to be facing someone in a restaurant or at home when I'm eating, it doesn't matter who it is or what the table is like.

Across unless we're out with another couple. If out with multiple couples we could end up sitting anywhere. If out with the kids it depends if they're getting along. Sometimes they sit across from us and sometimes they split and sit each with one of us.

Across, unless we are with other people. Then, wherever depending on who we are with. If both of us are comfortable with the people we are with, we have no need to sit next to or across from one another. If it's with people only one of us is close to, then next to each other.

**edit - with that said, we tend to order a lot of food, lol, so close enough to make sharing easy.

Across. Would never think to do otherwise. I like to look at the person I’m with. And if it’s a booth that fits at least four, there’s room for my coat and purse next to me.
