They let us go home at noon and so far nothing much to speak of. Some wind and very little rain but it's not supposed to be in the area until around 4pm this afternoon.
I just had to compliment you on your response to kids, that was awesomeWe can't see much thru the boards on our windows. My kids want us to get the hurricane proof windows so they can actually watch it. I told them I can do that or pay for their college...
we can peak out the door every so often.

Should be heading my way shortly then.Metro looking at the radar looks like downtown is getting it pretty steady..
You doing okay over there? It's been pouring all day here (Oviedo), pretty windy too but nothing too serious.Should be heading my way shortly then.
I had very little rain and some wind last night but that's it. It seems to be hitting the east side more than the west. You doing okay over there? It's been pouring all day here (Oviedo), pretty windy too but nothing too serious.
Tom on Local 6 says that thing might go out to sea, become a category 1, turn around, and come right back through Orlando! I hope not.![]()
Faye hit the mainland where Wilma did. My son and I were remembering how we ran from Charlie to Orlando and was right in the eye as it passed. It blew the doors out of the tracks in our hotel room and part of the roof was missing. We huddled under the mattress that I pulled off the bed. Ah, those good hurricane memories...
Faye soaked the ground and now one of the few trees that Wilma left is leaning precariously over our house.
