Site visit question

I've read that you can schedule a site visit for 16 months out. However, when we go to do our site visit I want to stay at a resort & I like booking the resort around a year in advance. My question is, how soon can I call to actually schedule the site visit?

I guess I'm worried about booking a resort & not being able to get a site visit with such little notice if I can't actually schedule it until the week we are going.

We called 17 months out. The receptionist first said they couldn't do anything until 16 months. However, when I said I was hoping to arrange a site visit and gave her a day within the 16-month window, she took my information and I received a call that afternoon to schedule the site visit.

My hunch is if you called a year ahead of time, they might allow you to schedule a site visit within the sixteen-month window. They seem to have some flexibility with site visits because they recognize most people can't just visit the world whenever. Someone else had mentioned that you want to say that you want to do a dftw, not just thinking about one.
