Printing photos through Disney and/or our outside photographer is a bit expensive. Is this the site most people recommend http://www.mpix.com/?

I would like at least one done on canvas in addition to regular sizes.

thanks

This is just me, but I used shutterfly to print a photobook and prints. I think their quality is great, and it's very economical (there are also lots of discounts offered regularly).

I've used mpix for prints, and blurb for books.

If you register with them, they will send discounts codes to your email. Blurb occasionally does free webinars as well, and I love the print quality from mpix! And I really like their "touch-up" option. :)

I find Blurb gives me more control over the layout of the books than the books from shutterfly/target. Some don't want to fuss with the layout but I liked being able to adjust the layout as I needed/wanted.

I used Mpix for prints and my canvass. I was really impressed with the quality of the pictures.I used Shutterfly for my photobooks. I would highly recommend either site!

Thanks everyone for you input.

One more question-do you all frame them yourselves? We had a caricature artist at our wedding and went I went to AC Moore,m with a 50% off coupon, I couldn't believe what they wanted. This is partly why I am thinking of doing a print or two on canvas.

If anyone has any pictures to share of how you displayed your photos I would be interested in seeing them. I want to display photos (us & guests), caricature print, shadow box with my flowers from Keepsake floral and something with the rhinestone ribbon from my cake. Yet I don't want our house to look like a shrine to our wedding.

thanks

I felt exactly the way you do! In the past I have framed photos with inexpensive frames from Aaron Brothers and either cut my own mats or had them done to my specs using www.lightimpressionsdirect.com/.

However, there was no way we had enough wall space to display as many wedding photos as I wanted if we framed them all, so I tried something new: We painted the entire wall with 5 coats of magnetic paint and then painted over it with the original wall color. Then I bough a bunch of low-profile rare earth magnets (super strong!) and affixed prints I'd made on MPIX with them, like this...

It's definitely not a formal or traditional arrangement, so it might not suit everyone's taste. But what I love is that I can easily and very inexpensively swap out photos any time I want! Instead of agonizing over which photos I can afford to print and frame, I just order a few new ones whenever Mpix has a sale and switch them in. :thumbsup2

lurkyloo-I should have known you would have the perfect answer. I have been wanting to paint but just haven't gotten interested in doing it but this would give me the inspiration. I will definitely try it out on a wall.

thanks

Thanks for posting the info, I was wondering where I would print out my engagement and wedding photos :thumbsup2

I have one wedding photo up and the rest in my mix on my digital frames. For personal preference, I never cared for huge numbers of wedding photos up.

I'm making a coffee table book on blurb. It's huge, 104pgs and I'm looking to add more.
