The final stress point. I can't decide what site I really want now. I switched from 1400 to 900 because it was convenient to the Meadows trading post and we were considering bringing our small dog. Now I read that Meadows no longer has a drink refill station. And our dog is staying home now. It is wrong that they took out the drink station. It was a treat to allow the kids unlimited refills. I thought with the new RFID cups Disney would be making some money. I guess they forgot to re install the drink station. I guess now I may try for 500 or go back to 1400.

Meadows TP never had a beverage station, at least not for the last 6-7 years anyway. They only had coffee, tea and hot chocolate and that is still the same. Only beverages have been at Trails End and the Meadows pool and they are still at the pool but the CM gets the drinks in a paper cup and hands it to you (Health reasons).

We were last there in 2010 but didn't get mugs then. I took someone's word about the missing drink station. Still won't participate now with only one place to get refills late. Also we can by ton's on drinks at Walmart for 60-80 bucks.

Sounds like you have a premium site reserved. You will have a great time at any site. pixiedust:

Yes we have a premium site reserved. Just trying to get a great site with a little room to decorate. We love Halloween but are not as creative as some I have seen. I'm definitely going to have site envy.

I would worry less about the site and put your attention to other things. Every site has its advantages if you look for them, just make the best of what you get and have fun. Stressing over site selection at Fort Wilderness is not worth the time.

Do what SuperCamper says. Worry about it when you get there. Every site has it's benefits. Some people swear by the Little and Big Bear loop. Personally, I can't stand how tight that loop is. I'd rather have a full hook up, hands down. The sites are huge and the loops are more laid back and private.
Last trip we got the site right on the walkway on the 1600 loop. We thought we'd be disappointed with all the foot traffic. Turned out just fine.
Remember, it's vacation.

We don't spend a large amount of time at our site so most suit us fine. Just so the little ones have a safe area to play. Some loops seem to have heavier traffic.

I understand and I am not going to be disappointed either way. Were going to be too busy having fun regardless. Thanks for all the kind words and advice. Three more days until checkin. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Would love to fish with you. Just have to retire and slow down some then we can stay at the Fort longer. I will try a full trip report when we return home. May do something while were there too. We're leaving home Friday and staying in Ocala overnight. Then getting up early and driving on in and hoping to check in. the heading to Typhoon Lagoon to catch some waves on the last day it's open before refurbishment.

Unlike the postings of some, we have been in sites that have nothing special about them other than being at WDW.

Twice this year we have had 1400 loop with both sites fitting our 36' MH plus room for DD's car. Plenty secluded, meaning enough foliage to block neighbor.

Very difficult to have a bad time while at FW/WDW, so relax and enjoy the adventure.

After some debate and turning down 700 loop we finally were assigned site 1420. For premium it was very difficult to back into and a little cramped. But were are here and happy. Now to enjoy a week at Disney.

I'd trade places with ya. ;)

Have a great week. pixiedust:
