I have booked a Premium Meadow site for next March for 9 nights. We have a 4.3 ft 5th wheel with F350 dually long bed. Is it guaranteed that all sites in the Premium Meadow loops are long enough for this setup? Is there a spot where each loop and site length is listed? We are also getting a golf cart I want to have enough room for it all and not have it be super close quarters. We are brand new to RV'ng so hoping by the time we make it there backing up will be easier :-)!!

thanks!

pixie36,

If you are concerned about fitting on your site, you can call the Disney hotel reservation line and ask that a note be added to your reservation (this can't be done on-line) with the length of your trailer and also the tow vehicle. That info will flow down with the reservation to the Fort when reservations are pre-assigned. A Fort CM scans for notes and they are good about trying to fulfill requests if possible (yours is a common request).

As Sjm9911 said, some are longer than others but they generally all meet a minimum length. The site linked there is good for general information but you never know what campsite you will have until you check in with a CM in person or get the "your site is ready" text if you checked in early on-line.

So just call and add your length info - peace of mind is only a phone call away.

Since you are new, when you call you might also request they give you a site without something obstructing it in front. We had a huge built in trash can across from our site, which made backing in with our Ram Dually a trial in patience. The Ram doesn't have as good of turning radius as the Ford does so it might not be an issue. Here is our 35" and truck and golf cart. 576039

There is still room in front of the truck but not a lot, we did move the picnic table off the pad and hubby has the RV slightly over the back of pad but still in the site. Oh, and the dog is usually on a leash, I just ran out to take pictures and her daddy was getting something out of the truck, which is why she is peeking under it.

At 4.3 feet I'm sure you're good! :thumbsup2

If you land a site too short, call the desk. They'll quickly chang your site. I've done this twice. I actually looked around and found nearby site that was empty and perfect. Called and told them, and they changed my site there on the phone.

This is not something in my experience to sweat over.

Thanks thats a good idea! We have several trips planned between now and then so my hubby will get lots of practice backing up but always nice to have a bit of extra room to work with.

My old 5er was the same setup as you. 42 ft trailer, long bed, crewcab dually.

NO, you won't fit on all premium (meadows) sites. It is guaranteed there will be sites you don't fit on.

That said, like others have suggested, call down and have your length added to the reservation. They do look at that. They also have a book at the check in booths with the site dimensions. Several times I have asked at check in about getting a longer site. They know what is available (including people that haven't checked in yet AND they haven't sent a site number text to). I have switched a couple of times. Both times because I wanted to try a different loop (for some reason they want me to be in 1400 loop) and they have been able to look up site lengths and let me pick what I wanted. The last time I got a site in the 600 loop that was 73 ft long.

I believe all the premium sites are a clear 60' depth within its boundaries. So far I have never had an premium site (even before they classified the old premium sites medow$ premium) I cannot get our 42' trailer, F350 DRW and a golf cart in with room to relax.

Not true some are only 40 ft in the 1400 loop

Many Premium (or the newly renamed Premium Meadows) sites are definitely much shorter than 60 ft.

Here is a pic of my site in the 1400 loop 2 years ago. (1404) I had the trailer pushed all the way off the back into the trees and still had to park my truck sideways to get off the road. The pavement stopped between the middle and rear slides.

Here is a link that shows the loops and gives a site description, including length. It lists my 1404 site above as 57 ft. I think they were measuring the longest possible angle to the street edge.

Like most companies, Disney includes some "weasel words" in the description of their product.

".... up to 18 feet by 60 feet"

So help them help you. Add your lengths (trailer and tow vehicle) to the reservation as a note and eliminate the drama.

PS - even if you do this, you still have no recourse for the neighbor across the road from you who left his truck parked 6 inches off the roadway who is at Animal Kingdom when you need him to move his truck so you can back in. That's when you call the Lobby and ask to be re-assigned.

PPS - and personally I think that inner loop of 1400 is a waste of space. I would stay in the outer loop on the outside of the circle if I had to but not its inner side and not the inner loop.

Site 1401 is not. Got it once. 35 foot TT, f250 wouldn't fit with it. It was one of times I had to call and moved to 1402 instead.

They usually assign your site based on the info you provide regarding the length of your rig...

Definitely call down and have your length added. I did for the trip I was assigned 1404 above, but this was the day the Fort reopened after hurricane Irma. First time the Fort had been closed that long. Lots of damage and they only had a few looks open. I took what I got as everything was a mess and the CMs were scrambling.
