Sit & Stand Stroller Recommendations Needed

I need a strolled recommendation for when we head home to the US (we won't use one at all here). By then we will have an almost one year old and a six year old. Our main uses for it will be airports, frequent trips to Disney, and a possible trip to Paris. My older two typically did not use a stroller at six. The only exception was long days at Disney. I think a double stroller would not work well because I want to be able to use in for just the one year old outside of airports, Disney, and possibly Paris and we will only be using it for six months before we head back to West Africa again. I'd like to some opinions and recommendations on sit & stand type of strollers. Thanks! :)

I have a side-by-side double and I love it - City Mini Double. It's a fantastic Disney/mall walking stroller. Occasionally I do use it for just one child, but I also have a simple little umbrella single.

I agree that a double stroller would be difficult to use with a 6 year old. I remember wishing we had a sit and stand type stroller when our twins were infants and our oldest was 3 (they weren't out yet then). I don't know that there are a lot of choices for a stroller like that-maybe only a couple manufacturers make them. If you only need it for 6 months, doesn't it really need to be a good one? I don't know what kind of time you will have but I would look at a consignment shop for one when you get here.

I bought a Sit & Stand Stroller at Babies R Us for my 2 grandchildren. I don't know how much you are looking to spend on a stroller but the one I got was around $150.

I would not get a Baby Trend sit n stand. I have one and I hate it. It is hard to manuever and it is heavy. If I had to buy one now, I would buy the Joovy ultralight sit n stand.

Yeah, it's important to have a good one because we will be using it a lot in those 6 months and I am only registering for it and cloth diapers. I will look into craigslist and consignment though one I find a good recommendations on one. That is a good idea; thanks! But, I will have to get it brought to me before we get to the U.S. because a big part of my need for it will be international travel, airports, and a possible trip to Paris before we head back. Thanks for all your advice! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip! :) Have you known someone who had a Joovy that liked it?
