I was hoping you all may be able to help. We are going to Disney and Universal this fall and would like suggestions on which stroller would be better. My 3 yr old (almost 4 at the time of the trip) does not like sitting in strollers unless he is tired so I was thinking of a sit and stand type for him and our baby due in May but my husband brought up "what if our 3 yr old falls asleep". So what would work better? A sit and stand or a regular double stoller. We've never had two children in strollers at the same time at Disney World so are unsure. Thanks!

I'd get a double and just put your bags on the other side when your 3 YO isn't using it. My 3 YO also hates the stroller, but I KNOW by the end of the day shell be konked out in it! :)

I would take the Double, by the end of the day your kiddo will be tired and it makes it much easier to get out of the parks in the evening when you don't have to worry about losing a kid. It will also make a great pack mule for all the stuff.

Double all the way... not to mention that the majority of doubles actually turn better than a sit and stand.

Can you buy a cheap umbrella stroller just for the trip? That is unless you plan on using either the sit or stand or the double often while at home.

I have brought 2 strollers on one trip & a sit & stand on another trip. Both worked well for me but I go back to my room for my kids to take a nap.

I had the same debate. I have a 3 year old and a 3 month old. the 3 yo doesn't really use a stroller unless we are at a theme park or zoo. I considered a sit and stand but utimately bought the combi twin so both kids can lay down. I use my single on a daily basis but like the idea of the twin for "long days".

we bought a sit and stand when we went last year DD was almost 4 and other DD was 1. It was wonderful I am hoping to use it this year but DD does not like to be in it. Are you going back to the room for naps? The seat does recline a little for younger DD

We may go back to the room for rest/naps but not for sure. We have an umbrella stroller and three single strollers but would like to only have to worry about one stroller.

We had a Baby Trend Sit n Stand LX, it can be just a regular double stroller or you can take the back seat out and turn it in to a sit n stand. It was okay but it was really hard to push and turn. We got a Baby Jogger City Select double stroller before our last trip and it worked soooooo much better. It can also become a single stroller if you want it to by taking out either of the seats (they can be turned all different ways and there is an infant bassinet attachment you can get).

I have done 2 singles and a double with my kiddos. I would recommend the double hands down. My sit & stand would not be comfortable for an infant for any length of time and seriously WDW wipes kids out. Your 4 yr old will have times when he needs a place to kick back.

HTH! :wizard:
