Does anybody know the prospects for "remarriage" for this type of polygamists? I'm not talking legally; they are of course free to marry because they're not legally married in the first place. I mean within their belief system. As the only wife who has officially "left" the marriage, can Christine be joined (or sealed or whatever they call it) to somebody else? Do polygamists even bother getting together if they are past child-bearing?
I asked wenrob all about that when we heard that Christine had left. Because I could not imagine being cut off from an intimate relationship at such a young age, in whatever form she chooses.
I will probably screw up her reply but wenrob said that Christine will still be considered spiritually bonded/married in the church's eyes. Ie. Being in another relationship would not just be a stretch in her religion but for Christine herself, considering she grew up with the doctrine.
But if Christine is leaving because she refuses to be told she will not have intimacy for the rest of her life, a given - understandable, I do wonder if she is open to branch out from it all. And she did say the choices were between her and God, ie. no one's going to be the person to tell her if she is released from her spiritual bond.
