I finally finished watching. I agree the makeup was a trainwreck! They really deserved what they got with the dresses. I suppose since they think they can design jewelry that they can design dresses as well?

I am still torn on the Meri situation. She is in a unique spot because she's suffering from empty nest, but her husband has 16 other kids and will never know what she is feeling. It seems this is the very sort of thing that makes polygamy undesirable in the first place. But she chose this, so I just can't feel that sorry for her.

At the same time though, I hear Robyn whining that everyone was there for her raising Mariah, and now she needs to be there for the others, and really I just want to smack Robyn for that!

I suppose it's that sort of thing that just keeps me watching!

... So true ... Robyn thinks she is the jewelry designer of the century ... Those cuff bracelets she "designed" as a gift for everyone for the committment ceremony were hideous ... They also looked very uncomfortable to wear ... As far as the dresses, yikes ... Janelle's dress wasn't that bad but I give Christine credit for wearing hers ... However, Meri's dress, (that I assume she ended up buying), was not at all flattering on her ... And what a coincidence that Robyn just so happened to have a dress to wear in her closet ... I have a feeling that some of the "dress drama" was just that - scripted drama ... Meri and Robyn probably had their dresses all along ...

I'm conflicted with Meri also ... On one hand, I do believe that she is missing Mariah and suffering from empty nest syndrome ... However, on the other hand, this makes me even more confused about having "sister wives" ... I thought the whole point was to have one big happy family with multiple moms ... So if she is feeling lonely, why doesn't she just help out more with the other kids? ... I'm thinking that down deep she really does like being on her own and having the freedom to do whatever she likes, whenever she likes ... And I don't think she is very fond of Janelle and Christine and she just tolerates Robyn because she knows that Robyn will defend her against the others ... Meri just needs to get a grip in general ...

Robyn usually says or does something that always makes me just want to smack her ...

But yes, I will continue to tune in too ...

I'm watching the after show and the makeup is disastrous! Whoever the make up artist was for this show needs to be fired.....lol It's awful.

Haha. I totally agree. It was shockingly bad. Janelle's face was so shiny too. As previous posters stated, I too for the very first time felt bad for Meri. She should be 'allowed' to do her own thing.

edited to add....They showed part of a previous episode with all the wives on the couch and Meri was crying about what I forget and not one of the other wives reached a hand over to her. They just all sat there stone-faced. ?? If a stranger was crying, I would treat them better.

Makeup and hair was a DISASTER!

Why wear makeup when they never do on the show?! Meri was the only one who looked normal and what was up with Kody's eyebrows, they were just weird, like they had been pencilled in...oh my gosh!

This "Tell All" gave me the impression that this "happy family" isn't happy at all...the fact that they don't like showing any affection or even sending a text that the other wives would see, to me, is like they are in denial.

The trip to San Francisco, Meri, I felt let the "worm out of the can" that they don't spend much time together and that it is uncomfortable when they are together so the show is looking more and more scripted to me to look like something it isn't as I did believe they were all one big happy family .

Robyn absolutely drives me crazy....in all honesty I think she thinks of herself as "the hot one"! Seriously the way she acts makes me want to scream at the TV and how the other wives tolerate the way her and Kody defend each other
is mind blowing!

She has been there the least amount of time yet she seems to feel she has the most power plus I do think Kody has more feelings for her.....its becoming more evident that Robyn is his favorite---I feel bad for the other wives. I know Meri and Robyn are supposedly friends but the look in Meri's eyes when Robyn and Kody would "side" with each other spoke volumes

I don't know if Robyn was just frustrated with Meri's pity party and trying to convince her that she is still needed/still has a place in the family, or whether she was coming from a place of selfishness, but her delivery was all wrong.

I wouldn't say that I like her, but I like Robyn more now that she's more outspoken, though her tendency to explain/defend Kody to his other wives (who have known him way longer) is still super annoying.

It gave me perverse satisfaction that Janelle had the most flattering of the homemade dresses (though I wish Christine's dress had been less cray cray as well). I don't know what Meri was thinking, as even her picky self's store-bought dress was super unflattering.

I think they said once that he has "schedule" and divides his time with the wives. Spending a night at each's house. I had assumed that his comment was directed to the nights he spends there - but I may be wrong. Maybe he is just living full time with Robin.

I could be wrong about this but I have this impression that while Meri and Robyn seem to be in competition for Kody's attention (what with Robyn being new and Meri going on about Mariah) Christine and Janelle are on the side and in their own way, more independent in not relying so much on Kody for attention. Maybe that is just my impression because I find Meri and Robyn more needy.

I didn't see their family commitment ceremony - will try to catch a rerun. I wasn't really interested in this, but now that some of you have commented on the dresses - I'm curious!

Cody's hair did look truly disgusting, even worse than usual. Did anyone else notice him in a scene where he was in a pool or hot tub and his hair was slicked back from the water? His hairline was a good 4-5 inches back from his forehead! He is fooling no one with that horrible hairstyle. It also cracked me up when they showed the wives getting all possessive over his facial hair. YUCK. He is not attractive at ALL.

Yeah...he is pretty much gross. He looked presentable when we was younger with short hair...but that scraggly crap is ridiculous.

wow..watched the two episodes last night...

Did Kody have work done? I agree with the others that said they had HORRIBLE make up jobs for the Tell All, but he looked angry with his eyebrows, like he maybe had a little bit of botox. And was he wearing eye liner??? I am surprised that they allowed that much make up on them, considering how conservative they are. Wow..

That Kody needs a haircut, badly. Poor guy needs a good mirror and some open eyes.

My takeaway from this was another point against polygamy. I suspect Robyn keeps Solomon in the bed with her because otherwise she would be sleeping alone 4 to 5 nights per week (assuming Kody does stick to his rotating schedule) Solomon is a piece of Kody in the way her kids from a previous marriage are not. By keeping Solomon in her bed with her, she gets to have a piece of Kody by her every night. Of course, there are a million other reasons related to Solomon's needs that could be why she has him sleep with her but if I had to guess, I'd guess it has more to do with Robyn's need to feel close to Kody at all times and the reality that polygamy won't allow that.

I think she already had 3. An older boy who apparently has Aspbergers (sp?) and the two girls and then the baby with Kody. What annoys the crap out of me is her other children started calling Kody "Daddy" from the beginning...sorry, they have a Daddy and it aint Kody. I hate when people try to make their past life disappear. My girls call their Step Dad, John....I may not like their dad lol...but they have one.

Yes Robyn had 3 kids from her first marriage and then a baby boy with Kody.

I would assume she gets child support as the kids only see their Dad a few times a year. She has said on twitter that the kids were at their Dad's for summer holidays.

I'm with you and wondering about the meaning or point of "sister wives". Christine's dress was terrible, and I'm sorry, but Meri should have invested in some spanx.
