He may just do that, but if I'm not mistaken, one of the other sister wives brought Robin into the mix. Maybe she was tired of being the 'go to' wife.

I think that you're also right about being off a year.

Looking at the ages of the children, it looks like he's had multiple wives all pregnant at the same time.
The first 3 wives most likely had overlapping pregnancies. Aspyn, Madison and Mariah are all about the same age. Christine and Janelle were probably pregnant at the same time a when Mykelti & Hunter were born as well as when Paedon & Garrison and Gwenelyn & Gabriel. Ysabel and Savanah probably aren't too far apart either.

OT but I had a neighbor named Truley Brown, it was by marriage though.

I think Meri introduced them because she wanted a friend. Janelle and Christine both seem great but Meri seems a bit more "hip" and probably wanted a friend/sister wife more like her.

I really wonder how badly Meri feels about not having more children. She's 40 now, and so am I. I have 2 kids and there are some great advantages to being done having little kids. Maybe she like the freedom now and that's why she likes having her own house w/o having to watch the other sister's kids all the time. I know she was trying to go back to school for something.

Still am really wanting to know when Christine is due. Wasn't her baby born just 1 year ago in the spring? I think she got pregnant to get some attention instead of it being all on Robyn. Although it seems people of their faith have very large families.

You know, I think the living apart (although not what they wanted) it appeared to me that there was less HECTIC-NESS (if that is even a word) among the kiddos. Christine's little ones, the ones she was calmly singing with at the end of the epi … they were ALWAYS screaming whatever they were saying so they could be heard and recognized. I think it will be a calmer environment for ALL.

This might not be that bad after all. I was thinking they were going to do something like Bill's family on BIG LOVE, where they all had houses while the houses did not connect through to each other, their backyards ALL DID. And they had a large stockade fence around the yards for privacy.

As far as Christine Brown, I have googled and I cannot find anywhere 'reliable' that states she is pregnant. AND someone on here stated she looked like she was showing … if that was the case … I think we would have heard about it by now. Heck, Robyn's not even showing and they told us Sunday night.

When the show started, I thought this lifestyle was pretty weird, and definitely not for me. But, they seemed content with it, it worked for them, and while they admitted money was tight, they said they always "got by". So, I felt very "live and let live" about it. Adding Robyn to the group did seem to throw everyone off a lot. The three original wives seemed to have a pretty balanced routine, so I don't see how adding another non-working adult and three kids all at once would help the family.

Ever since they started filming, all of these other issues have come up. Some are the direct resullt of filming (polygamy charges filed) some less so.. I do wonder if adding Robyn was somehow related to filming. I'm guessing the promise of adding the drama of another wife to the mix helped to get TLC interested in them. Honestly, if they didn't add another wife last season, I'm thinking that that season wouldn't have been so interesting. After the initial curiosity of the polygamous lifestyle, it would just be a story about a huge family.

Clearly TLC is giving them lots of money. I have no problem with that, technically. This is sort of a job, TLC is making money from them, so, fine. THis "lifestyle" isn't really a problem for the kids as far as I can tell. Rather, the publicity from the show, resulting in charges, resulting in the sudden move is what I see as the problem. Can you imagine starting a new school, with your "weird" family all over the TV and internet? So I see the publicity of the show as the root of their problems. They are doing the show for the money. And without TLC's money, they would never be able to afford four large houses. So, if the wives learn to enjoy the solitude and privacy of their own house (and I do think it will be hard for them to move back to one big compound after getting used to their own space) you really can blame the show for that. So I do kind of have a problem with a family taking money for something that is clearly hard on the kids.

I think there is a name for that....when the making of a documentary actually causes changes to the subject being filmed. THis reminds of J and K plus 8. THey were filmed to show how a family with lots of kids gets by day to day. It turned into a circus, with TLC throwing money at them, and taking them on fancy trips, while the parents tried to outdo each other for publicity. I can see the Browns heading that way if they aren't careful. And it's too bad, because I really do think that they started off exactly how they represented themselves, as a large, poor but happy polyg. family, just trying to get by.

I hope that meri and christine enjoy their freedom because the prison doors are about to close. You could see on the last show that when it was discoverd they liked living seperatly that he was not having it. after all it will be a little hard for him to control all of them from afar. He is nothing but a huge controlling jerk that needs a vasectomy and a haircut.

OMG! What an epi!

I want go cry for Hunter! Such a great kid and showing signs of depression and withdrawal from friends and day to day activities.

I did feel badly for Robyn because she did not get the reaction she was hoping from everyone on the pending new baby.

I think that Mariah has seen her mom way too often disappointed. Between not being able to get pregnant and the fact that Janelle and Christine were able to have child after child AND now here we have Robyn added to the family and once again Mariah is feeling badly for her mom as the 'new' wife announces she is expecting.

So true. SO hard for a child to watch their Mom in pain.

I felt very uncomfortable when the camera followed Mariah crying into the bathroom. I don't have a problem with them invading the adults' privacy- they obviously signed up for this. But when a teenage girl runs into the bathroom to hide, she clearly needs time to herself. I was surprised (but glad) that she even let her mom in.

However, I did watch it, didn't I? So I am totally a hyppocrite, I know. I can't turn away.

I do enjoy the scenes where the teenagers freely express their opinions about everything. So I'm glad they are able to voice their feelings. THey do seem to be much more "normal" teens, with conflict and independent thoughts, when compared to, say, the Duggar teens.

I was wondering that, too. Janelle said she wasn't working. How could they possibly afford 4 houses? Could TLC be paying them that much?

The adults were kind of boring, the scenes with the teenagers were more interesting, but somewhat sadder.

I remember reading somewhere that they make $79,000 per episode. So they should get over the, "we have to buckle down crud"
