I think Star magazine (or one of them) will have more on him in a future magazine. Apparently he is not happy that his children are on the show. I wonder what their divorce states about decisions regarding children.

I still wonder why in the world they would bring in a 4th wife when they supposedly were all getting along just fine. I wonder if Meri suggested it hoping that BK would say no to the idea, but instead he took it and ran with it.

Because it is part of their belief system. Polygamy is not just to have multiple wives for the sake of having them. They believe that the larger the family in life, the better they are in heaven. Something along those lines.

The 2nd wife seemedto marry because she doesn't like to cook or clean house and she has a built in baby sitter. The last one planned to be a 3rd wife and said saomthign to the effect if 2 wives are fighting the best solution is to take a 3rd wife.
Hey, I don't like to cook or clean but I hired a housekeeper/cook. We didn't have to take a sister wife.

That is what I thought as well. She said once the marraige was in a poly. situation though he did not take a second wife during their marriage. Maybe she did get out of a cult situation.

Jumping in now, pretty late considering the season is over but....and its like a car wreck, you can't just turn your head!

I just cannot understand it! The Plyg (whatever they call themselves) lifestyle is not for me, I would NEVER be able to share a hubby, but its one of those things that I say to myself, "I'm not them, whatever they believe in and whatever works for them." But I mean the 3 wives were very upset that the 4th wife was coming in so why even do it?

And when the announced that he was courting wife #4 one of the littlest kids was very confused as to what was going on. I just think that it must be really hard on them.

And I also thought that it was interesting that the one daughter said she would not enter a plyg marriage, she just wanted one man for herself even though she is in a plyg school with other children who come from the same type of environment, I thought that was so interesting.

Wondering how this all works in term of insurance, can he claim all of those children? I assume meri is insured, and janelle through her job, but what about the 3rd wife?

And yes, he does look like the BK guy, he does creep me out a little. I don't know how he could have time to work, spend quality time with his 20 something kids, and then tend to 4 wives.

And yeah, I do believe toasters kill more than sharks....like what kind of statement is that?!?! LoL but lets burn our house down by putting the bread in the oven and forgetting all about it.

Just an FYI, Jessop is a very common last name in Utah. I am sure that several Jessops belong to the FLDS but most do not. I do know that Robyn said her first husband was a polygamist (even though they didn't take a second wife) but he may or may not have been in the FLDS group.

Caught up on the show this morning and I realized how very much I dislike Robin. Besides the whole crying at the drop of a hat thing and the giggling, she just seemed so duplicitous when Kody made his big announcement about choosing the wedding dress. She wasn't sorry that she had upset the other wives but she was upset that Kody had ratted her out. She just seems like she's going to turn out to be a bit of a backstabber.
