We are 20 days out from our first trip (for most of us, anyway) to WDW and I want to remember every single detail. Why every single detail, you might ask... the better to journal in my scrapbook, of course! :rotfl:

Introducing the Sistafriends...

Me: Yo :cutie:
Mom to two red-headed princesses. Been to DL more times than I can count when I was in high school out in CA, this is my debut at WDW

DD9: karategirl :flower3: diva-in-training, black belt, voracious reader. Main reason I'm going to have to buy 2 copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this summer. Loves roller coasters...as long as they don't leave the ground or go upside down.

DD5: Princess Gabs princess: My littlest princess, snuggle bunny and all-around wild child. Hates bugs and big dogs, loves anything and everything princess. Wants to swim in the pool, but not so sure she'll enjoy swimming in the ocean.

our friend and fellow DISser: Goofys Bud Tam :goofy: Tam has been to DW a few times, the rest of us haven't. She's our resident expert...but is still finding interesting facts and things to do that she didn't know about...thanks to the DIS.

our out of state friend and Pooh addict, Poohchik pooh:
NEver been to DW or DL but has been a Disney fan all of her life. I think the most difficult thing on the trip will be to not let her buy every single Pooh thing she sees. :lmao:

Should make for an interesting girls-only vacation. :cool1:

The plan as it now stands...

DDs do not know that we are going to DW. :ssst: (Don't tell!) :ssst: They think that we are going to spend 7 days at Daytona Beach, but the first 5 days we're going to surprise them with a trip to DW. We're still hashing out final plans on how to let that particular cat out of the bag. They don't even know yet that Poohchik is coming into town to go to the 'beach' with us; but that surprise will have to be unveiled the day before we go. I don't think that Poohchik would appreciate being concealed in the back of the van all night! :lmao: I can't wait to see the looks on their faces...my heart goes all aflutter just thinkin about it!

Being the obsessive list maker that I am, I have preplanned and replanned everything...up to a point. We have park hoppers and the dining plan. We have a packing list, and a massive pile of trip stuff that has taken over my bedroom corner and is threatening to take over the bed too. I have (and Tam has) reservation and confirmation #s for all of our ADR's and appointments, have emergency contact info cards ready to be laminated for the girls and all of the summer clothes and swimsuits have been tried on and added to the TripStuff Mountain that used to be my bedroom closet. Every time I go to WallyWorld I buy one more thing off of the list...but I keep finding other things I need to ADD to the list, so it feels like it's never DONE.

Arrive afternoonish on the 17th, hit MK for just a few hours...catch the fireworks at the very least.

18th - ADR Supercalifragilistic bfast then off to AK

19th - ADR Princess Storybook for dinner

20th - BBB that morning and then CRT for dinner

21st - CP for dinner, hoping that we can pry away Poohchik from her favorite character without security tagging her as a stalker. :lmao:

22nd - no parks, but WCC for bfast on our last day, then wander around looking at hotels etc and DTD before driving to the beach.

More later....:goodvibes

The (flexible) itinerary:
Of course I realize there is NO way we'll see everything in this quick trip...that's why we're already planning a 2009 family gathering trip!

March 17th Arrive at ASMu in late afternoon, hit MK for Spectro, Wishes and CS dinner. Plan to NOT stay too late, gotta get princess: and :flower3: to bed so they aren't supercranks in the morning.

March 18th Supercali @ GF then off to AK for the day. Plan on a midday nap/pool break, then off to MK for the evening.

March 19thQuick bfast in the room and then get to AK emh; open the park with a safari and such, again with a midday-late afternoon nap/pool break. Epcot in the evening, with a Princess Storybook dinner and IllumiNations.

March 20th Quick bfast in room again; BBB in the morning, then off to MGM for the day. Ditto the nap break - no pool today with the princess hair! - and then back to MK for the evening, and dinner at CRT.

March 21st Quick bfast again, want to get out early to open at park of choice (TBA) The only thing 'planned' for this day is Crystal Palace for dinner. Leaving the entire day open for stuff we missed (I'm sure there will be a lot!) or things the girls want to do one last time.

March 22nd:sad2: Our last day in the World. WCC for bfast and then DTD and looking around at the different hotels. Then it's off to the beach.

More later...

So much fun reading your trip report. We are going to be there the same time as you. We seem to have the same idea for Sat. 17th. We are checking in the hotel, and then going over to MK----dinner at LTT, then Spectro and Wishes. :goodvibes CAN'T WAIT !

Well, great minds do think alike! ;) Maybe we'll run into each other - I'll be the one of three giddy women with a LGMH on her backpack with two super excited redheads in tow. :goodvibes

We are almost close enough to check out the 15 day weather report on accuweather. :cool1: Every little milestone gets us that much closer!

Made some tie-dyed Mickey head tees for our trip...excuse the wrinkles! :laundy:

Let's see if I can get the pics to post the right size...

AND I'll be one of three giddy females (me and 2 DDs) and one not so giddy DH.

The shirts are so cute. I'm jealous---Tell me how. I'm a tye-dye virgin, so I hope it's not too hard.

Thanks! You really should try them...this is my first foray into tie-dye in over 20 years, and if you take your time doing it they come out looking great pretty easily.

Here's the link to a thread about them (which in turn has links to other threads as well...)

At the end are more pics of these shirts and the things I learned to make it easier for me personally. Good luck! Let me know if ya try it :goodvibes

Not a great day. :sad2: DD5 has the flu, and big sis came home from school not feeling well. I am SO worried right now :crazy2: because our trip is just 10 days off! I hate any kid getting sick, but I just hope that it can run its course BEFORE we leave.

In other news, I'm just about ready to go! Everything that doesn't need to be used between now and then is already packed - yes I have destroyed TripStuff Mountain. :cool1: Now there's just a lot of little TripStuff hills! :rotfl: The only things left to make or do before the trip is finish up the Mousekeeping envelopes and make the DDs ID/contact # cards so I can go laminate them next week. Oh, and go pick out my eyeglasses, hoping that I can get to my eye dr. in time to get them back before the trip. Kinda don't want to take two  girls in with me to try on glasses. :upsidedow

Keeping fingers crossed that everyone is healthy in 10 days...:thumbsup2

Only four more school days to get through before we leave for Disneyworld! :woohoo: Princess Gabs got over the flu and didn't give it to anyone else *knocks on wood* thank goodness. :goodvibes :goodvibes

It is getting harder and harder to not just blurt it out! I am dreading Friday night, when we are all together for the first time, getting ready for the trip...hopefully the girls will read our excitement as beach excitement, and not Disney mania.

I finished packing the girls clothes today. Used the large freezer bags and packed one coordinating outfit for each of them in each bag. Can't do too matchy matchy, karategirl would give me that look that 9 year olds are so good at. "Mo-om!" :lmao:

And I also found a couple more pairs of shorts in my closet that actually fit. :woohoo::banana: :woohoo: I just can't wait to wear em in DW! This time next week we'll be in Epcot, after a princess meal in Norway. :cloud9:

more later....

We're back but wish we were still there! :sad2:

Had a wonderful, magical, supercalifragilistic time, and are happily exhausted. I'm still :cloud9: and wishing I could book another trip TONIGHT. :cloud9:

I will work on my trip report soon, looking forward to getting the details down so I can treasure them forever - and share the experieces with my wonderful DIS friends!
