Sirus Radio for in the home?

DH has Sirus radio for the car, but wants a home unit to listen in the house. I was thinking of getting this for Valentines Day for him.

I have no clue what I have to get, the sets that I have seen are for car and home, he doesn't need the car set. Any idea of what I need and about how much it costs.

Hi! We have both-we bought both at the same time from Radio Shack. We just take the player out of the car and insert it into the home set when we want to listen to it in the house. I would suggest looking at the website sirius.com to see their different units (I'm pretty sure that there are prices on there). You can always talk to a salesperson at Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc. to get actual prices. I found them to be very helpful!

I think you just need a home kit since he already has the reciever. Find out what brand reciever he has then go to Radio Shack or Best Buy and tell them you need the home kit. It is just the cables, anntenae and docking station for the home.

Does he have a plug and play receiver, or is it integrated into his stereo system? If it's plug and play, like someone else said you will just need a home dock with the antenna (it comes with). If not then you need to buy a receiver and either a home dock or boom box (the receiver will come with the car dock most likely, hey you could set it up in YOUR car). Also if you need to get another receiver you will need to get another subscription. You will need to call Sirius to activate it because you can get a discounted subscription since you already have one receiver.

I was thinking of getting another receiver in case he didn't want to take it in and out of the car, but didn't know I would need another subscription.
