Sinister Soiree Questions

Just booked for the 10/21 party at the later time...I initially was indignant at the thought of a hard ticket within a hard ticket, but since the villains are my main goal and we have a super short trip planned, I am justifying it. I will still be watching the reviews come in to make sure it is still worthwhile, but if they do indeed plan on having Malificent, Evil Queen, Lady Tremaine and Dr. Facillier, that alone will justify cost for me. Getting super excited, hope it is worth it.
 
How do you know that? It seems from what was stated on the blog that it was...
I posted it on another thread, I spoke to a couple CMs trying to determine the seating capacity for the event, which is 130 max in CRT, but I also was told that it won't be the normal FP viewing area, she said the viewing area is on the "forecourt"...

I can tell you this, I could call with my land line, my cell phone, and do a ' live chat ' via the official wdw website all at the same time and get 3 different answers to the same question. No I'm not being cute, I have actually done this with 2 CMs at once and yes got 2 different answers.

Is it that customer service means nothing anymore ? I don't think so I have talked to very helpful people over the years. It's not the stellar service it once was. There was never a doubt that they knew what they were talking about. Now you can easily get off the phone and think, " Now how can I get this corrected or verified because I KNOW that's not right".


I do think that the problem is a combination of a few things. Info is changing very rapidly, it seems like there is a basic plan but the CM on the phone isn't getting the new info. Are they not reading their memos and emails? I don't know. Are their group leaders/supervisors not making the effort to get the info to them ? I don't know that either.

What I am saying is the statement of what a few CMs said ( even if it is a member of your family ) really means nothing as a FACT to most of us. They may be correct, and even if they are not, there is no way for any of us to verify it.

Not picking on YOU, the you is to all of us in general, I only quoted you because it was the last post.

Most of us have never met outside of the computer. I have been blessed to meet about 1/2 dozen people over the years and they are now lifelong friends. I would question their source too and they would question mine.

There are 2 websites independent of here that I trust because they have proven themselves to me.
Josh at www.easywdw.com and Kenny at www.kennythepirate.com I am anxious to hear their take on all this.

There are also 2, maybe 3, regular posters that if they say it I have no need to question it. I will not say who, it's obvious when you " listen " long enough.

I didn't just share the info "because a CM said", I know the drill. I talk to 2 CM who were pretty much clueless and then the 3rd woman who shared the info with me who was pretty much confident. I have no reason to believe anything she told me was false or misinformed; firstly I shared that the party would be no more than 130 which I learned is the max capacity of CRT and the CM told me her speculation was they were booking no more than 100. The second piece of info was the location of the parade and viewing area is to be in the castle forecourt and not the normal FP+ firework viewing area, this information has been pretty much confirmed by other sources as well. I never take anything to be 100% certain but I believe this info is probably the most accurate details we have yet to receive, all other details about the party seem to be up in the air; what characters will be there? How much character interaction will there be? Will the be a photographer there? Have we even heard anything about the desserts? I am anxious to hear about the first few parties, I'm glad I'm not one of the test subjects, sorry early party goers! If reports are bad I can cancel.
 
We have reservations for 9/9 (11:25 pm) and 9/12. (10:15 pm). I wasn't sure which day fit better in our schedule when I called on Tuesday, so I just snagged both. I am 99% sure we will be canceling the 9/12 one. I'm not sure how it would work (having to call to cancel/book) but I am willing to try to coordinate if anyone is interested. PM me.

Oh...and I will make sure to come back here and give a review of the event for you guys since it's only the second one. :)

:rotfl: about the bus drivers! And the other part, it seems to be working. I pretty much have not stopped thinking about this and driving myself into a frenzy over the details since it was announced. Anticipation has certainly been built. Now hopefully they follow through and give us something awesome so everyone doesn't cancel!

Well I drank the kool aid also :-) Booked for 10:15pm on 9/12.

Interesting thing is that I asked for a reservation for 7. The CM put it in and the computer gave her an error that you couldn't book for parties of 7 or more. So I ended up having to book for a party of 4 under my name and under a party of 3 for the other family going with us. And it was fine with that.

I also asked how many the seats were limited to and I got an "we don't have that infromation yet". Just wanted to let everyone now about the larger group limitation.
 
For those going to the first VSS on Tues., plz post your experience & pics if you can. We're booked for the 9th. I am really excited & I hope it's worth the high price.
