Single Parent Trip.....

My son and I are going April 5th-9th. This is my second trip, my last was when I was 12, about 25 years ago My son is 8 and this is his first trip. I was wondering if there were any other single parents heading down there at that time. Figured it would be nice to meet up and perhaps go exploring...thanks

I am also a single parent and I have a eight year old daughter. You will have a wonderful time even if you don't hook-up with someone down there. The first time I saw Cindy's castle two years ago my mouth just dropped. I couldn't believe it.....my daughter couldn't believe it. We both got emotional as we walked into Magic Kingdom for the first time. There was so much to do and so little time even though we where there for 9 nights.

We took it all in.....it was fun sharing my first real vacation with my best friend....my daughter. We couldn't believe it and we still don't believe it. Me and my daughter have Disney movie night and will watch all of the 12 video tapes I made while at Disney. So we can have the pixie dust in MN.

The best tip I can give is get your son the best pair of gym shoes available and bring 2 pair. My daughter and I have never walk so much in 9 days.

I can't wait until May 14 - 23 to do it all over again. I hope you and your son have a "Magical" trip.

Also single and my 11 year old daughter ,turned 11 today, go and have the times of our lives.
In May will be our 6th trip since April 2000. We have such a good time that I bought DisneyVacation Club to use for the next 50 years. The memories are priceless. Take it at your childs pace and the more you know about the specail little things the more you can WOW them.
We love to look for hidden Mickeys. We share ice cream treats so we can have another one later. There are so many things to do that each trip is diffferent then the last.
