I can relate to your story about not liking Disney as a kid but loving it as an adult. I went first to Disney World when i was 12 or 13 and didn't care about it. But, when I returned for the first time as an adult years later, I fell in love with it! I loved everything about - especially how it made me feel like a kid again - only this time, I appreciated it. What can I say? I'm hooked on Disney's Magic!

I've mostly been just a reader here on the boards, only recently adding comments to the threads I read. It's a nice community of people, and while I don't personally know anyone on staff I think a bunch of Dis folks, especially the Unplugged peeps, are part of the tribe. Check out the Dreams Unlimited Travel podcasts, the Universal podcasts, all by the same group of folks and all very informative.

Don't even know if I am posting this in the right forum. But for the last few years have had a renewed interest in Disney parks. Went there as a teenager in 1990 and 1991(Disney World) and hated most things about it. The heat, the lines. I was just a brat and impatient. But as an adult, and on my own, have been itching to get back there. Subscribed to and watched many videos, vloggers and bloggers talk about the parks and they all have renewed my interest in the parks. Stumbled on DIS Unplugged and I cannot stop watching them. I am planning on visiting DisneyLand(vacations by Disney) for the first time in 2017 as well as staying on site at DisneyWorld and throwing in a Universal trip as well(Must. See. Kong.)

I'm Brian and I'm a 39 year old teacher from Brooklyn who is hoping to meet some real, cool people and fellow theme park and Disney fans on here. Thanks for reading!

I'm so glad I found Unplugged, it's like a little Disney World oasis in the middle of grey, grey Britain for me and I'm sure it will be the same for you! It's my life goal to get on one of these cruises so hopefully someday I will get to meet one or two of y'all in person!

For a couple of months or so, I have been following various email lists and Facebook pages for Disney. As I was looking for information on rides at Universal Studios, I stumbled across DIS and their Youtube videos and then their website. I have to stop myself from being totally consumed by the videos, podcasts and now the DISBoards. But this is such a wealth of information. Just wish I had found this months ago.

Thank you to all of the people that maintain these Boards and do the podcasts and Unplugged videos!!! You all rock!

Welcome! I felt exactly the same way when I first discovered the DIS boards. It brought hope that not only could I connect with other Disney fans but that I could find my Prince Charming and enjoy future trips to the World with and all that jazz I hope you enjoy your time on the Dis boards!
