We may have overspent today
DH got one of the cannon 600d packages and we got dd a new camera as well over $1500 later I'm now home quietly freaking about the expense.
I hope it was a good choice of camera I really have no idea but our Pentax only works when it wants to these days

Camera = photo's = memories

Don't sweat the small stuff, in the long run this is a small expense

I think I'm becoming a resort changer
When we booked I decided on the Royal rooms at POR AOA was available but it was only a few $ more to stay at POR so that's what I booked but now that I've seen all the pictures of AOA I want to stay there and I must say the idea of a bedroom with only 1 bed in it is very appealing
I guess I'll have to keep checking and hope someone with a FD package changes to somewhere else

stay with the free dining if you can..also the resort will be packed to the gills, as will be the pool & food court...maybe stay at POP & toddle over the bridge for dinner one night, thats what we intend to do.The place is going to be mobbed

When I number crunched there was no way it was worth us giving up free dining we made the decision to stay at POR and go over for lunch and a look rather than give up our dining, but today it seems we may have some will be back soon with an update

On Sat after calling 5 times in 3 days hoping some one had swapped out there FD package I told the kids what the CM had told me and basically it was not going to happen they didnt want to to give up any dining ressies so we were just staying at POR and visiting AOA I went on the site and save AOA as a offer just hoping I would trigger a pin no such luck.

Anyway this morning I woke up the power was on and I just had a niggeling feeling I should just ring one more time the CM I got had a look if it was available and then asked me if I minded holding he came back 5 mins later and said he was transferring me to guest services, the lovely lady I got said Mam I believe you would like to swap your reservation to AOA and you would like to keep your FD, I said yes please if that's possible when she said I think I can help you with that I nearly dropped the phone I will just price it out for you before we make the change
We now have FD at AOA and my kids are so excited and I am very grateful to a wonderful CM at guest relations who made it happen and finished the booking even after the phone had dropped out they were having a major storm she had warned me it may happen

On another note the storms over here were shocking yesterday and my Tarago is now minus 2 side windows and we had no power last night and they are warning us that there are worse storms tommorow

That's what I thought ds11 is over the moon he was so disappointed I hadn't booked it when he saw the Nemo pool but he had told me he wanted a water slide so that's why I didn't book it in the first place

It's $620 cheaper after paying for the upgrade for the DP, and now we don't have to feel bad about not having a kid sleep in our room win win I say

Hopefully we will escape tomorrows storm with no damage at least we have power for now there are heaps of town still with none.

thanks it's not my dream location but it's the place the kids wanted so I am very happy they are so excited I can't believe how much that place looks like the movies can't wait to see it and the expression on the kids faces

The Tarago is now under cover hopefully the roof will stay on the shed if not we are in serious trouble

Ive got 32 sleeps to go time is flying by
I cant decide what to do about staying onsite at DL I was hoping they would have a special by now I was thinking i would cancel our booking at Del Sol spend 1 night at park Vue use our EM entry on that morning and then change over to a DL hotel for 3-4 nights but i just cant decide if it is worth the extra money I would love to rent DVC points but i think i have left that way to late and i still need 2 standard rooms anyway
We are now just doing Disney in these few days so i think we would use the hotel pool in the arvo for a park break from the heat.

He WAMUMOF4 have you tried Davids DVC rentals? We are renting points through him for our Bay Lake Tower stay. I found him to be quite quick in response and have checked through the disney website and confirmed that yes we are booked in. I was nervous about it at first but now I am so glad we did it.
In 2010 we stayed at the DLR...can I say it just doesn't compare to the GCH. If I was to go back and it was between the HoJos and DLR. I would stay at HoJos, I just didn't think it was worth the extra money. Its about the same distance away from the front entry as Hojos and the service just didn't compare to the GCH. I don't know this is just my thoughts. I would check with Davids DVC rentals and see if they have anything available through the villas at GCH. Its a heaps cheaper way to experience 5 star accomodation. On his website he has a price calculator maybe price it up and then see what options you have. But DL Hotel was a let down for us, maybe its because we did the GCH the year prior. We should of done it the other way around?

Great minds must think alike I sent of an email to someone on the DVC board that has points to rent to see if our dates are available but to be honest I am really thinking we should stay put and use that extra money for other things like the Fantasmic dessert package Mmm maybe I should look at some tours instead?
