single digits are here 1 sleeps to go!

wow that really stinks about your education tax refund.

and wow... changing your plans with less than 2 mths to go.. that's really brave :)

:lmao:Brave was not the word i was thinking of it basically came down to $$$ and we either had to get a credit card to pay for Alaska or change our trip i was getting extremely stressed because the $ were just to tight and i don't like tight, i like excess:lmao:
At the start of the planning we had a lot more disposable income but with no holiday pay this trip and loosing the pay whilst DH wasn't working they just weren't things i had counted on let alone all the unexpected expenses that seem to just be cropping up from nowhere:scratchin
We are still ending up with a great holiday and Alaska will just stay on the bucket list what a shame we will have to go back:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:furious::furious::furious: is all i can say about the education tax refund.
Free dining and 4 park days for a 12 day stay? Doesn't that mean you have to buy tickets for 12 days for free dining? Isn't it only with Magic Your Way Room AND Ticket packages?

You only have to buy a 2 day park ticket to get free dining. We only plan on doing 4 days of the parks maybe as we will be going to the water parks,Disneyquest and 3 days at Rock the Universe at Universal also Mickeys Halloween party we also are planning on having down days to look around some other resorts and actually enjoy where we are staying last year all we did was rush from one place to the other this time we are going to smell the roses;)

According to family assistance we weren't entitled, maybe I should have just claimed it and if they didn't want to pay me they could have said no...

This government is a joke, and the jokes on us...

:thumbsup2 it certainly feels like they are doing everything they possibly can to make sure they don't give me that refund and it would totally be my fault they i didn't realise that receipts from 2 years ago were going to be faded and not think to copy them or scan them into my computer:scratchin

bugger bum bugger

there!

husbands bonus this year has been cut in half......grrrrrrr, so totally know about depending on $$$$ and then getting squat.oh, he also forgot to tell me,so that was a pleasant surprise.

oh well.......first world problems I guess:rotfl:

now, where's that damn dog!shes gone into stealth mode again:sad2:

lol. i love first world problems.

i know what you mean about bonuses etc.

also carlo found out that his youngest sister is getting married june 21st, in nsw. yay for them and all that, but since june 21st is a thursday, in order for him to attend the wedding, he has to take off wed, thurs and fri. 3 extra days of vacation time, which means he'll be actually a few days short of pay whilst we're on vacation... not that big a deal, but i'm with those of you who prefer excess $$$ rather than having to watch the money while on vacation... gah. and with all the extra expenses we've incurred recently, and my pending visit to the dentist next week (which will cost some major $$), i'm really hoping that the dollar rallies and climbs right back up there :confused3

karen, hope your dog fesses up soon -- only time my puppy ever went into stealth mode was when she'd been naughty :)

death toll this morning..one toilet roll (full)....handful of used tissues..so not so bad..ok she did lick up the bird poo i tried to wash off the patio:confused3

I am planning an intervention, where all her loved ones are going to sit around telling her this is destructive behaviour and get her to go to puppy school again for a refresher course...:rotfl: my DH thinks that's a brilliant idea...

this is NOT how pirates rollpirate:

 Good grief cut in half that must hurt. As for the dog and her toilet paper addiction that would drive me nuts does she not realise she is cutting into your holiday money with all that wastage:rotfl:

That sucks to be finding out this close that your expected to go to your sisters wedding can he ask to take those days at half pay rather than full pay or prehaps just not go and does that mean your not going?
:flower3:Now i'm going to be a to be a touch selfish and i don't want the $ to rally just yet i need to get my $1400 refund from NCL first then it can go up and set a record high :goodvibes

Loving the railroad track, my DS was obsessed with Thomas the Tank and I used to have these tracks all over my house, my little 12sq house, it didn't leave much room for much else LOL

As for the toilet paper, if we let our super destructive greyhound inside he'd eat our kleenex cottonelle for breakfast :goofy:

lol. we would love a dog but our body corp doesn't allow them...

although i am kinda glad that our toilet paper supply is safe...

Chad is our animal baby, cries when it's walk time :rotfl2:

We never really let him inside our new place, worried he'd scratch up the porcelain floor...he does have a great bed though, which he never leaves unless he's going for a walk.

He has destroyed many an anything he could get his teeth into...

Got up in the morning and went WHOA - now we have to book a whole trip around those tickets :rotfl2::rotfl2:. It was awesome and we'd see him again in the US in a heartbeat. Would probably plan a trip around it again :rotfl:. The kids loved it.
