Sweet neighbors - wwyd?

I'm a midwesterner and I always go over and say hello and intoduce myself. My DH seems to get a phone number long the way. We live near a base and the home next door has been turned over 3x in 3 years. Each family has been military, and very sweet. We just exchange hello over the fence and the new neighbors constantly leave their garage door open, DH sends a text and runs over to close it!

Our friend/neighbor has a plow on his truck and will often plow our driveway for us without prompting. This is something he also does on the side to make actual money, and expects nothing from us, so we appreciate that he takes the time to do it when he can.

We usually "pay" him with a good bottle of whiskey or Lowes gift cards.
