Single Day at MK - Dec. 3 or 5?

I'm helping some friends plan a single day at Magic Kingdom in December. This will be the first time for most of them (one of them went when he was a kid) and they have 3 young children. They'll be in the area December 3-6 so they could pick any of those days, but they were hoping to be able to stay for fireworks since it will be their only day there, which leaves December 3 or 5. I've warned them that those days will be busier than the days that MVMCP will be held. PM EMH are being held on Dec. 5 but Dec. 3 is a Monday (which many people say is busier at MK). Which day do you think will be better? Touring plans lists Dec. 3 as a level 5 crowd and Dec. 5 as a 4. Thanks!

So between a crowd level of 4 and 5 it really isn't much of a difference. Will they purchase tickets ahead of time? If only going for one day then they could just decide based on the weather. It will be better to be there at night if it might be slightly warmer.

No there’s not much diffference based on touring plans’ numbers. I’m thinking the EMH night might be worse in the evening for people hopping over from other parks.
