dh and i have never eaten here (only at the fast food place in germany). we were thinking about trying it out in august, but i don't remember reading anything about it here. did you like it? is it better to go for lunch or dinner?

We have eaten there 3 times. Twice for dinner, once for lunch. DS loves it, I think its ok and go to make DS happy.

Keep in mind that you are seated with other people. I believe the tables seat 8. Even if there are other empty tables, you will be seated with others.

The Oompah band only performs at dinnertime. DS was picked last year to be their conductor and received a certificate.

I do find the desserts to die for, and the pretzel rolls are yummy!! Definately worth a try!

Biergarten is my 14 DS favorite restaurant anywhere. I really love it too. DH likes it but thinks it isn't authentic enough (spent several yrs in Germany). The dinner show is a lot of fun. I believe they don't have as much entertainment at lunch

We enjoy Biergarten. The band does play at lunch. The times are listed in the park schedule. I enjoy the rotisserie chicken, tomatoes, pretzel bread, potatoes and apple struedel. We haven't chatted with people that sat with us--nor have they with us--so it's not a big deal. I'd recommend lunch since it's cheaper.

Have never eaten at Biergarten for lunch, only dinner, and we loved it...one of my personal favorites. The food is excellent...(roast pork is outstanding.)
As other people have said, the one negative is the large tables that can result in your group sitting with a group of strangers. But, I think everyone who eats here is in for a good time and it shouldn't be a big deal!

Do they do the whole show at lunch, or is that only dinner? We went one year, and I laughed sooo hard! Really enjoyed talking to our tablemates...and I usually like lots of privacy...but it's all in the spirit of the place!

We have only eaten there for lunch and it is excellent. The band does preform for lunch...starting around 1pm....so if you want to see the show while you are eating, make your ps accordingly.
