Hi there.. :yay:

I have never played Sims 1 but I have played Sims 2 and I am extremely excited that Sims 3 should be released in February..

So.. Which one did you play? Which one do you like better? Do you still play? What is your favorite thing? What is the worst thing? What do you wish you could do that you can't do?

I am still addicted to building Houses & Towns, so when Mansions and Gardens came out I was excited but, disappointed at the same time. I expected ALOT more building supplies, instead of wall papers and stuff...

I never knew Sims online exsisted, but, sadly, it closed shop August 1, 2008. I wish I was into Sims back then because I would of checked it out. Has anyone played it? What was so wrong with it that it folded? I would of thought for sure it would be a hit as an online Role Playing game. I would LOVE to be able to play online, since my BFF plays too and I thought it would be awesone to go to her house or her to mine and have parties and raise families together..

Well, I really hope there are some Sims fans out there that want to join me.. I'd love to hear from you.. or read as this case may be.. Thanks for stopping by..

I don't play, but my ds's 15 and 12 play and make videos.
My ds is attempting to make a video for school depicting Homer's Oddysey.
Here's a link to his youtube channel. There are some real videos as well as Sims music videos. In fact, they did so well with the Move along Video, that the Sims youtube channel favorited it on their site. A pretty high honor, according to ds.

Wow.. Congrats to your DS :cheer2:

My BFF and her Fiance got me addicted, My DS plays as well sometimes..

I'm more of the builder type addict.. I love making my own personal towns and all the house and stores within the town.. I don't actually play the families too much, my BFF is addicted to that part.. I have 2 families one is a single woman the other is a woman with a cat.. I can't control them fast enough to have a family with kids.. :rolleyes1

I am a total Sims Addict. I've been playing since 2000 when Sims 1 was released. So I played Sims 1 and it's EPs. I now play Sims 2 and I have every EP and Stuff Pack. I absolutely love building and decorating houses, hotels and community lots. I can spend a week or more just building and decorating. I also enjoy finding the perfect sim family to live in my house. DH knows when a new expansion pack or something comes out that he will be in charge of the kids that weekend because I will be hooked up to the game.

I'm looking forward to Sims 3, it looks to be a natural evolution of the Sims product. I've already preordered. :goodvibes

My DD 12 introduced me to the youtube Sims 2 movies and videos. I love them!!! My DD 5 and I get a kick out of watching the "Barbie Girl" Sims music video, usually at least once a day.

I play the same family (out of the family bin) over and over
I have no patience for the building

If I knew how to save the game to a CD, I'd send you a copy of a whole town I made ;)

House, Condos, Library, Stores, even a night club

Sounds like a plan:)
I am so anxious to start playing the family that I will have the house 1/2 furnished etc....
On the original Sims I used to have trouble getting my sims to be happy and go to work -if they were really whiney I would put them in the swimming pool and then take away the ladder.
My husband thinks I am really sick

Psst... There is this awesome "cheat" thing, called the InSIMenator.. You can grow them old and die in a matter for minutes :rolleyes1

We live in a Very old Victorian town.. in a Very old Victorian house and in one of the towns of the Sims2 is a replica of my house... :thumbsup2

It took me forever to get it right, because I couldn't get everything to be exactly the same detail by detail.. :headache:

*evil laugh*

I recently reinstalled and played TS1 and one contrast with TS2 that really was obvious was the ways I could kill off Sims. In TS1, it was pretty much fire and the creativity came in staging it. I liked an enclosed room filled with fireworks stands. I had lots of fun playing with the Goths and having Mortimer do magic. I tried to get the drunken Garden Gnomes going but every time he enchanted a gnome, it would catch on fire. I was also amazed at some of the objects that TS1 had....the wind tunnel machine, mechanical bull, scuba diving tank, the chemistry set (which I miss), the Costume Trunk (which I REALLY miss), etc.

DH pre-ordered TS3 Collector's edition and I'm looking forward to it and the seamless neighborhood. I was planning to start a new Sims 3 thread about a week out or so.

I have not Pre-Ordered Sims3, but I guess I should.. I will have to run to the mall and check it out..
