Did anyone get it today?? I'm waiting for mine to download! :goodvibes:banana:.:woohoo:

Does anyone know if they are making Sims 3 for the Wii or Play Sation 2?

I'm a major original Sims fan and Sims 2 fan moreso, but these new ones don't look like the simmies I love anymore.
For once, I'm not buying a sims game- it feels weird!

I agree...in the Sims 3 their eyes move around! I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty creeped out the first time I notice that.

I need money, lol but as soon as I babysit this weekend I'm getting it! How is it for anyone that played so far?

I just played it for I few hours... have to admit, I'm not sure how much I like it yet...

I want it, we get it here June 5th.
But on the Sims 3 forums everyone's been saying bad stuff about it..

I want it.
but I don't have 50 dollars to go buy it at target.
maybe I will ask for it for my birthday...

Maybe I'm weird, but I think for the past 3 years the games have gone slightly downhill...

Like all good games, it lost it's original charm after a little bit. I liked it better back when they still credited Maxis.

Yeah I have the sims 2 on my mac right now.
I'm not sure yet if I'm going to get sims 3...I haven't really heard anything SO GREAT about it that makes me want to go out and get it.
Plus everyone told me it wasn't coming out for the mac for like another year, which turned out not to be true.

So I want to hear from all of you who currently have it, let me know if it's worth it!!!

Ok guys, I have a warning for those who want the game and don't have it yet.

Your computer HAS to be DVD compatable, or the game will not work. Actually, you won't be able to install it at all, because the game itself is on a DVD rather than a CD like the other two versions are.

The reason I'm saying this is because, I was able to get the game installed on my computer fine, but I also JUST got it in October and it is able to play DVD's. My sister, however, has an older computer and it wouldn't even register that there was anything in it when she put the disk in.

So...yeah. If you have an older computer, and it's not DVD compatable, you either 1-need to MAKE it DVD compatable or 2-not buy this game, because it won't work.

Other than that, tho! I actually really like it! It's A LOT more involved than the other two versions were. EVERYTHING your Sim does revolves around it's likes and personality. Like, take mine for example!

Her name is Kylie (yes- I made myself! *ish creative*) and one of her personality traits is a dislike of the outdoors. So like, now- if I let her stand outside for too long, even if she's just standing RIGHT outside her front door- she gets all depressed and in a bad mood. :rolleyes1

You get to personalize things a lot more tho! Like, say the shirt that shows up in the thing-mabob is blue. But you don't want it blue! Then! You can click on this color picker thing and customize it to the color you want. You can also change like...the patterns on their belts/skirts/etc. ^__^

And you get like rewards for jobs and making your person happy. Like, for every good thing you do really, you get points. And then you can use those points to buy little things that can make your Sim's life easier. Like! I bought mine this thing that makes it easier for her to 'read' people. So she can tell what they're like faster...because, that's part of getting to know people in the Sims 3 now. Instead of just randomly talking to them, you actually have to try to get your Sim to to learn things ABOUT them.

Yeah...it's A LOT more in-depth then the other two....but cool! Very, very cool. :thumbsup2

The only downer for me is that there is no weather...other than wind. :sad1:

But that's ok! Because, who knows, they'll probably come out with an expansion thing for it eventually.

I really want it even more now after I read Disney Dork's post. I have enough money but I have to save it up for my trip over my birthday.

Yeah, it's cool, but-just to let you guys know- there are A LOT of people (including myself) that can't get the speed buttons to work. All the buttons are the same speed...so like, we have to wait through our sim sleeping, showering, etc.

Hopefully EA will be able to come up with a patch or something that fixes it soon. ;>__<

My problem is when I want to make my Sims fatter or thinner, their bodies stay the same but get all deformed. I didn't know if it was because of my computer and maybe not having enough memory at the time or whatever, or if it's a glitch in the game.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...so I have no idea. Anybody else having those problems too?
