Sims 2 - DVD vs CD?

I know there are a few Sims 2 fans out there. Which is the better version of the game? DVD vs CD? What are the differences?

Also, DH bout a top of the line gaming system last March. Should that suffice to play either version of the game? It's coming up on our dating anniversary (10 years) and I wanted to buy him this game. He loved Sims 1, but we lost the game and the computer in our fire.

CD imo because you can install it on computers without Dvd drives. We bought cd just in case. They are both the same but the dvd version will ONLY play on dvd drives. HAVE FUN!

The DVD version is has everything on just one disk, vs 4 disks for the cd version. DVD also comes with a bonus disk of interviews with the creators. I think that's all of the differences!

The bonus disk I believe is the one you got when you boght Making Magic or pre-ordered. (that's what my friend says anyway)

Also, it doesnt take any longer to install the cd version than the dvd version. And once you get it installed, the 1st disk is the only one you'll need.

I was wondering about the difference myself. I have a DVD drive so I'll probably get that version Now if only I could find some time to play ...
