Not a roller coaster. As Cdn said it's a simulator ride. From simpsonsride.com:

What kind of attraction is The Simpsons Ride?
The Simpsons Ride is a motion simulator ride. Riders sit in a vehicle (two rows of four) that tilts, pitches, dips and twists in sync with the action that is projected onto a towering 80 foot dome.

Very cool and very loopy. I wonder if they are going to have some lighting on him. He looks very dark in the night pics.

You know...I saw over the wall and noticed all of the "accent" lights were on just outside the building. I would imagine they would have some sort of lighting on his head...my guess is the whole head will light up.

I got an answer back today from the email I sent a few days ago. This is what they said:
