Simple Vow Renewal?

We are going to WDW in August. That will be one month before our 15yr anniversary. We honeymooned there so we plan to celebrate that week. There is no way we could afford to do a true Disney type renewal using DFTW. I don't want anything fancy, no reception, and only my family will be there. Would it be possible to hire my own officiant to meet us in a park one day and do a very low key ceremony? Would Disney allow this? or would they be helpful in finding an officiant? I'm just thinking simple like hubby would wear a tuxedo shirt, I would wear a sundress, and we would wear the bride and groom ears. Find a quiet spot anywhere in park and just have that special moment. Wouldn't take more than 5-10mins. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!!!

If you did something "unofficial" such as this and are found out, you risk getting kicked off property. It's a big deal!!:scared1: most reputable vendors (officiants, photographers) in the area know this and would decline the job as well. With DFTW you are looking at a memories or escape package and the subsequent charges snd requirements. Swan and Dolphin offer packages as well

There are other options like looking into something like a catered meal, a desert party or a dinner somewhere with a special cake. Or perhaps Disney resort pics with a photographer - you could go bridal in dress in the resorts for photos but even then your vendors are not going to probably want to take unofficial actual ceremony pics.

Congrats and happy planning!!:goodvibes

Thank you for the response. Obviously I would NOT want to get booted from my favorite place! lol Maybe we could skip the officiant and just do our own little vows during fireworks or something.

If you wanted to do something simple like say vows to each other in the park then that would probably be ok, but once you get into brining guests, having photographers, etc it turns into a wedding and you can get booted and banned from Disney property. It is technically stealing from Disney because if you want a wedding IN the MK then you gotta fork over the $10,000.

I'm doing a vow renewal through the swan/dolphin. Still on Disney property but the cost is much lower than a DFTW of the same size. I agree with the poster who suggested looking into a small DFTW or Swan/Dolphin. S/D ceremonies start under $2000

We wouldn't be bringing in guests, it would just be my family (my parents are taking my family and my sisters family on the vacation). I seriously don't want a big deal. Like you said, all we want is to say vows, nothing major. My guess, no longer than 5mins. lol I guess I imagine just doing it among the crowd, and if we just look like a group standing around, people may not even notice. Even the cheapest one at DFTW is way too much for us. I sooo wish we could though.

I still bdon't know if it would be worth the risk. We could always do the vows on our own without an officiant. :) It would still be special for us.
