Silver pass?

We received new maingates in the mail today and they say a silver pass. My husband hit his 15 years this month.

What is the difference between this and the regular maingates?

I don’t think at my age it would be worth working 15 years for a silver pass. I’m just trying to make it to 10 years to retire (4 years and 10 months to go)!! I never use all my 16 entrances for guests. I’m lucky if I use half of them and I live in Florida.

I get close to my 16 limit some years, but most of that is just bringing in one person, my son. I usually go to DL once a year and WDW twice. If I didn't lose my first 5 years of service, I would have been up to 17 years. But I was able to retire at 12 years, and love having those perks. Especially now that I can use my MEP (first time to use MEP next month since Febuary 2020).

I think what stinks for us is we are 41
And hubby just hit 15 years. We don’t think he will be able to make it to 55 to retire. Wish there was some other option like once you hit 20 years then it doesn’t matter what age you are.

You know what really stinks?? Being 71, having 4 years to go to make it to 10 years and being diagnosed with cancer. Going through chemo now. I’m out on medical leave until Jan 2023. Thankfully that time counts toward my retirement and I plan on making it to my 10 year celebration party. Enjoy what you have now because you never know what is in your future. Hopefully he can make it to 55. He is young. Is there a reason he can’t work until he is 55? Good luck.

Oh @joyjanet , I'm so sorry. Sending more prayers and healing vibes your way. I look forward to a post about you making it to your 10 year celebration party.

Thank you. Just finished my 3rd round of chemo and 3 more to go. I have some bad weeks and good weeks. I was hoping to get my pet scan after this round but I need to wait until after 4th round on 18 August.

Halfway there.....you can do it! Prayers and pixie dust I think of you often and all the help you give to people on this board. Thanks and feel well.
