Silver Pass / Self Admit question for WDW use

Hi! I'm in CA, and I suspect I've been using my Silver Pass (me+3) in FL all wrong.

• First trip to FL: I used my Silver Pass, and my wife and our two kids used our 3 guest passes.
• Second trip to FL: I used my Silver Pass and my wife used her Spouse Pass (no kids that trip).

For our upcoming WDW trip, if I use my Silver Pass and my wife uses her Spouse Pass, how many of our guest passes can we use for friends/kids?

I ask bc at DLR, my wife can admit herself + 3 and then I can self-admit myself AFTER so we can have a total of 5 entries per day. The method is a little specific, but it works. Any similar method that works in FL?

It works the same at WDW. Your wife can self-admit with her 3 guests and you can self admit afterwards.

I didn't figure this out until about 3 years ago....I wasted many comp tix by not knowing this method.

Now, my husband uses his spouse pass and 3 guest passes and then I use my pass to get in after they have gone through the turnstiles.

Your username and signature hint that you are the perfect person to ask about what CM discounts are currently applied onboard DCL ships and at Castaway Cay. My family is booked on our first sailing next month, and we haven't been able to find recent, reliable info about merchandise, excursions, adult dining or spa discounts. Can you please share any details/resources you have? Thank you!

I have been on 24 Disney cruises myself. You get the discount at the stores on the cruise ship that matches you store discounts. During Christmas you get the 40% discount. There are no discounts on Castaway Cay or on the excursions. The CM gets some discounts at the spa. You need to ask them. No discounts on adult dining. Once you hit 11 cruises, you get a free meal at Palos. You need to pay a gratuity based on the food cost.

I am a DCL addict!!! Joy spelled it out pretty well. I think the discount at the spa is only 10% but I don't often go to the spa so can't say for sure. We recently sailed on the Dream in September and had a great time, even with the current covid restrictions. No discount on excursions. You are treated the same as everyone else onboard. So excited for you for your first cruise!!! Unfortunately, no discount at Castaway Cay...I believe it is some Bahamian regulation involved. Which ship and what date are you sailing....there are many CM discount cruises over the next few months and I hope to go on one near the mid to end of January!

The testing at the port was pretty straightforward. We had a rental car we were parking at the port so we had our test in the parking garage and were able to wait in our car for our results.
