Isnt there a place that does silouettes at MK? I would love to do this of my boys. Where is it? Is it open with Main Street in the mornings? Any other helpful info?

I did this with my 16 yo daughter at DL for the first time last year. If your boys are very little, you can take a profile photo of them and let them cut the silhouette from that.

I never did this when my boys were little. I plan to bring a profile photo of them as little boys and have one cut on our next trip.

It's on Main Street to the right when you are looking at the castle. My advice is to buy the frame with the silhouette. It's a hard size to find, and you'll pay more for custom framing. With my son's silhouette, the artist cut two at once. The second silhouette and matte was included, but I had to buy another frame. We gave it to Grandpa as a gift. My other advice is to go when your kids are most amenable. Not sure if the artist is there first thing, and your kids will probably be anxious to ride rides then. Find a time when they are a bit calmer but not dog tired. It takes about 10 minutes of sitting relatively still. The artist will hold the items for you to pick up later. If you do this, remember to go back for them before you leave the park. We totally forgot until we were in our car in the parking lot, and I had to go back. Took about 45 minutes. Live and learn.

I was amazed by how quickly and how well they made them and how inexpensive they were.

One disappointing thing is ours doesn't say Walt Disney World on the bottom like they once did.

I was absolutely amazed at how fast it was and how nice they were. And I agree the price was reasonable.

I just looked, and the one we did in November does say Disneyland at the bottom. Bummer that yours didn't say WDW (or MK).

We did this when my son was about 5 and were so impressed with the quality and likeness, it was so cool to watch as she just moved so quickly and it was perfect. We did it again when he was 8 and were not nearly as impressed. The guy didn't do as well, it didn't look like him at all to me including a double chin on my skinny little guy lol. I don't like to complain and didn't want to question his capabilities so we just let it go, thinking we'd do it again with another artist before we left but we never did. Maybe we'll do it this trip. It was $8 for two silhouettes, which we thought was an awesome deal.

I had silhouettes done of my kids at Epcot (France) a few years back - they are still my most treasured souvenir!

As others have said, there's a place on Main Street. I don't know if it opens when MS does, though. If your child is young, they can do it whiLe they are sleeping. DD was napping in her stroller, with her head naturally turned to the side. She was 8 months old at the time..they did a great job!

there is one by the hall of presidents at the MK not sure when it is opened but I would not wast park opening to do one you can really get a lot done in the first hour

The first time I assume you saw Jan (I think that's her name)in Liberty Square (by the bridge). She's awesome - when I worked in MK I would watch her and was always amazed. She's awesome. Try to go to her station again (they may rotate, but from talking to her she seems like she's always the one there. It's been 13 years since I worked there so my memory may be foggy. But she just did my kids' silhouettes in Oct 2016).

I love the ones we have gotten over the years. And I too suggest getting it in the frame. So perfect!

I have to echo all of the positive reviews. We had them done one night as we were waiting for the parade, and yes, the frame really does enhance the silhouette perfectly. It is such a special and cherished souvenir.

I love my silhouettes. We had ours done while waiting for Wishes on Main Street. They were set up just past Uptown Jewelers on the right when you're looking at the Castle. It's something my parents did with me when I was a child and we went to Disney. The black oval frame just gives them a very early 20th-century feel. I do miss the old mattes that said Walt Disney World on them.

Actually both times we had them done on Main St., in the same place. Is Jan from Maine do you know? It was a young-ish CM who was from Maine I remember, (its' been a few years) - and we are from Maine so it was a nice conversation :)

Actually we got both of them done right on Main St. The girl CM was young-ish and was from Maine I remember, because we are too. It's been 6 years since then.

She must be gone, because in October Jan told us she was the only female at WDW that does them.
