Silly ticket question

I know this has been asked (and answered) about 100 times here, but I'm using someone else's computer this weekend and can't tie it up long enough to search...

Can just one person in a party buy a UPH, or does the entire party have to get them?

The situation is that DH and I have AP's. DGD and her parents have NO passes. We want to pay for DGD's park tickets, whatever they are. She really won't get the full value from a UPH (she's 4, and not planning on DisneyQuest or any water parks). Would it be cheaper to get a 4 day Park Hopper for her? Her parents will be getting their own tickets, so I don't have to worry about them!

If they are booked with a package, everyone in that room must be on that same package. UPHs are the package ticket. However, if they are booked with room only, each person can obtain whichever ticket they like.

Thanks! That's what I was hoping for. We're not on a package, so I think I'm all set now! Hopefully by December this horrible hurricane season will be history!
