Anyone know why insect repellent isn't sold anywhere on Universal Property?

We looked in the parks. Even went to health services (no lie; they put my name on the log and everything!). Tried the Portofino, and we were under the impression that is was policy not to sell it on property.

Is it a green thing?

I was kicking myself because I usually pack some to take with me, but have never needed it before. So this time I just left it home.

After 22 bites on my right calf alone, I was a bit more interested in saving my legs than the planet. Mike didn't get any bites at all. I was covered though.

We wound up going to Walgreens, no big deal. Just curious though why they didn't sell it on property. I am guessing it's part of the Green is Universal thing?

I have no reply other than to say "hey there" to our fellow cruisers!

I can not remember biting insects being much of a problem. :cool2:

I live in the biting bug capital of the United States.I do live in a swamp tho-surrounded by water. But at US I never encountred a biting bug!!:confused3

Maybe the resorts figure that bug dope would do something with the pools.
Me personaly cant put no DEET on me.It feels like fire when it hits my skin..

DM - ha ha, good one

jodie - im clueless, except i'll state that even though im a mosquito magnet; ive never been bitten @ either Univeral or Disney Parks, even AK

I do know disney sprays - everywhere during off hours; assumed U followed suit.

really would hate to think as cost cutting measure they've eliminated or cut back on it and will try to pass it off as being green:rolleyes:

Wow, I never even thought of it. Nobody in our group has had a problem with mosquito bites but it's hard to believe they wouldn't have a little can of Bug Off in the hotel gift shop or something. :confused3

I guess that's one of those things you have to hit up the Walgreens down the road for.

just came to say hi.
haven't seen you around in a long time.....
