Silly question - do beds face forward?

I don't know why I wonder (and maybe worry a bit) about things like this, but do all the beds face forward? Or are they opposite in every room? I really don't like riding backwards on busses, trams, etc. and not sure if I would notice the movement on the ship.

We were in room 6550 & the bed faced forward. Only time I realized which direction the ship was moving was if I looked out a window. It is pretty weird how you don't notice it.

Just relax & enjoy the cruise :D

I know the bed in our cabin faced forward but the bed in a friends cabin faced the opposite direction. But, I can't see as though it would really matter, you wouldn't probably even notice.

Especially if you had an inside stateroom like us, there is no way to tell. I don't think you would even notice in a room like they had with a verandah.

We've had beds in both directions -- and I was never able to tell a difference. The movement is not the same as if you were riding backwards on a train or subway. You don't actually feel like you are moving backwards or anything.

our beds faced "backwards" & we never noticed ... a friend had beds that faced "sideways" :)

My husband is also very sensitive to this, so we specifically requested a room that had us situated properly. Our DU travel agent helped us in choosing a room that would work. (They have the layouts of the cabins.)

Beds acctually face all 4 directions.

Outside cabins alternate with ever other bed facing forward or aft (primary beds only, 2ndary beds are turned so they face the cabin door our outside (just depends where they put the pillow I think).

Inside cabins have the bed against the far wall such that they face the cabin doors.

We usually have outside rooms with verandahs, and we've faced both directions. As others have said, unless you look out the window, you can't tell which way you are going and it hasn't mattered to us.

BTW, the beds face the side of the room where the cabin door is, so if the door is on the forward side of the room, the bed faces forward.
