Silly question about PAPs and APs

I am going to buy some PAPs and APs for our upcoming trip. If I happen to go again during a time that blackout rules apply for the APs, can I upgrade or just pay a fee to use the APs for X amount of days (say 5 for example). How would that work? I'm trying to save a little money so I just thought the combo of PAPs and Aps would work for this trip. Any advice?

You know that is an interesting question. I really don't believe so because I think it is one of those you get what you get. Like I have SEASONAL passes at Disney which block me at the busiest times of the season and they don't let me upgrade. I mean personally if you have that decision under your belt, I think it would be better just to get preferred annual pass. That way not only do you know you are safe with anytime you feel you want to go, but you get 20% of merchandise, 15% on food, save on hotel rooms. Free parking. Plus it is $170 dollars for 2 years. Go to your local burger king and pick up one of those little forms. Maybe you might want to wait for someone else to reply. I don't know from experience I am just taking a guess on the whole upgrade thing. Hope I could help.

You an upgrade your AP to a PAP however, from then on it will always be a PAP. It won't be just for those days. They will charge you the difference of what you paid for that and the cost of the PAP.

At least this is what I heard. I always got the PAP and so never had to worry about it

Just get them all PAP so you don't have to worry about upgrading because the result is the exact same
