Silly Question about DXDP

This is probably a dumb question but I just cannot figure it out. We are planning a trip for next fall. DH wants DXDP...he's 6'6" and eats A LOT :)

My DS (5) and I on the other hand do not necessarily want that much food. Can we split it up so that DH is on the DxDP and we are on the regular DDP?

I may have confused myself even more just by trying to over analyze and think about this.

Thanks!! :)

sorry. everyone on the same reservation must be on the same meal plan and initially purchase the same tickets.

And it really wouldn't matter anyway... unless you were planning on him eating by himself at TS restaurants. It's not a good value if you are only doing CS. And I can't imagine him wanting to eat alone or you wanting to sit with him while he eats and you don't.

As others have said, everyone has to do the same dining plan. I think in your situation, you might not want to do dining plan. DH will go hungry, or you guys will be grossly overpaying for you and your child's meals, depending on which meal plan you pick. If you definitely want to do dining plan, you'd probably be better off going with the regular plan, and then having DH pay OOP for extra snacks or appetizers or anything additional he might want.

I realized that after I asked the question...I was just picturing my DH eating every meal alone ;)

I do not eat anywhere near what my DH does but I normally give my DH half of my entrees to keep him full and happy. We are doing the DxDP and I expect I will be doing a lot of meal shareing :)

Depending on how you use it, the DDP can be just as much food as the DxDP. Afterall, CS meals are pretty large. And TS options include plenty of "all you can eat."
So there is not necessarily any lack of food on the DDP.
The only "additions" in terms of food quantity on the DxDP are -- 1 extra snack per day, 1 extra meal credit per day, and appetizers at non-buffet lunches and dinners.
If you use the extra meal credit for signature and 2-credit dining, then the DxDP and DDP are the same number of meals, with the addition of appetizers being the only change in terms of food quantity.

The DxDP can be used more for increased food quality, instead of food quantity.
Instead of... for example... the standard CS pizza for lunch somewhere, an individual wood-fired pizza from Via Napoli.
Then instead of the standard 1-credit dinner which buys you a mediocre serving of steak or chicken, get a more "gourmet" meal somewhere like Citrico's or Artist's Point.

Instead of a CS breakfast platter, have a nice TS breakfast... then instead of the Sci Fi Diner steak... get the Yachtsmen Steakhouse steak for dinner with 2 credits.

So some examples of not really significantly increasing food quantity, but using the deluxe plan to improve food quality.
