Silly acronym question

I haven't been to these boards in a while but have come back because I finally have time to plan a trip. Anyway I'm noticing several posts using the abbreviations AR and ADR. I'm guessing they stand for Advanced and Advanced Dining reservation ?

Has Disney changed their terms and finally allowed reservations? For years it's been PS since they wouldn't commit to a true reservation.

So am I incorrectly guessing what the abbreviation means or has something changed?

As of May, Disney changed the name to Advanced Reservations. The actual procedure for getting them and what they mean has not changed... you still aren't making a traditional "reservation". You are setting a time when you will arrive at the restaurant, and then the next available table will be yours.

Thats what they mean, but its still just priority seating. No actual reservation

There are no silly acronym questions. As a matter of fact - going to WDW in AUG with DW, and 2 DS. Leaving from LGA, going to MCO via CLT on US, staying at CSR,, but were thinking WL or possibly AKL. Already have PS (AR?)at CM, WC and MG. Can't decide - MK or AK first day? Anyway, just wanted to answer ASAP. OK?
