Silhouettes?

I heard that you can have silhouette cut-outs done of yourself at Disney. Does anyone know where?

I know of two places in the Magic Kingdom. The first is on Main Street in the little "alley" on the right. The second is on the right after you cross the bridge into Liberty Square.

Here is one we had done of DD:

They were cut from doubled paper so we actually got two, one facing in each direction.

Do you remember the cost for these? I meant to get one last year and never saw anyone doing them.

They also use to have one just before you got to the Hall of Presidents in MK, as you are walking away from the hug.

They are $7 per person, unframed. That is for 2 copies, as the other poster mentioned.

We did one last year for my in-laws with all 7 grandchildren from oldest to youngest.

Jodi - these are my favorite souvenirs! - I have a 24 (took oldest at 2) year collection and I love the changes in the kid's faces, hairstyles, hats, etc. Last trip DH and I thought to have a double silhouette (two silhouettes together) of ourselves to add to the collection - we'll do it again next trip so that, when the kids eventually get their own silhouettes to keep, they will also have some of mom and dad - this year I'll be adding my new step-grandson and new grandbaby (wonder if they can do a 5 month old?!)

I'm so glad to hear they still do this. My sister and I plan to have one done of our 4 kids and give it to our folks as a gift.

Anyone remember how long it took to have them done?

They took minutes - you actually can't believe that they just cut your child's (or your own) silhouette out of paper in less than 2 or 3 minutes.

I love these! My husband and I got them done on our honeymoon 2 years ago. The lady who did them was amazing, she didn't use a light to make a shadow to trace or anything, just looked at our profiles and snip-snipped away!

When my fam took my cousin and me to DL about 25 yrs ago we did this --it's such an awesome souvenier (one's on my desk right now)

Anybody know how much the frames are???

I did my dd in 95 and she has it in her bedroom. When we went in May, we got the three of us done at DTD right outside Disney's Days of Christmas store. We got three copies and three frames for $50. It worked out perfect because we sent a copy to dh's mom and a copy to my mom for Mother's day. They thought that was great. Especially my mom who has one of me when I was about 10 yrs old.
DH's mom really liked it because she thought it was very unique. DH was a little surprised that she liked it so much.

I had one done of my 8 y/o ds when he was 2 1/2 (on Main St.) and we had one done of my 4 y/o ds when he was 3 (also on Main St.)

I bought the frames, and I have them hanging in my dining room facing each other. It's a great remembrance from each ds's first trip to WDW!

WOW! Many years ago in DL, my brother & I had ours done. My mom had them up on the wall until recently. What a great gift to give my parents of their two grandkids!! Thanks for the heads-up!!

I love them! The first time we went to Disney when I was a kid - my mom had my sister and me cut out.

Years later she had the 4 grandson's done... they are so cute!
