Silhouettes

Can you still have a silhouette made at Disney World? I'm thinking this would be a nice souvenir for our two-year-old little boy. Has anyone done this recently? If so, can you let me know where it's available, how long does it take, and the cost? Also, any options that are offered like framing, etc.? If anyone has a picture of yours to share, that would be awesome! TIA

We've never had them done, and weren't really interested so I didn't take a close look at what they offered or the cost, but I do remember seeing them in MK back in April. They were either on Main Street, U.S.A. or in Liberty Square, can't remember exactly where right now.

I had silhouettes of my kids done in May. When you walk down Main Street toward the castle , the silhouette cart is on the right in the alley beside the jeweler. I think it was $8 and the give you two. You can buy an oval frame (black wood grain resin) for just a couple of dollars more.

It's pretty quick if no one is waiting, 15 minutes start to finish for one. They will hold your package at the cart if you stop by early in the day and want to pick it up later.

Yes, they still do them. Definitely in MK and I believe at Disney Springs too but it's always late when we hit DS and we don't wander much there so I've not personally seen that one. At MK there's a stand off Main Street on the right as you are walking toward the castle. I believe it's on the little side street just past Tony's. There is one more where they also do caricatures but I can't remember if it was in Liberty Square or on Main Street somewhere.

Prices are very reasonable. Around $12 for a single person, $20 for double and frames are about $10 each. The price of the silhouette includes two of each one done so for a single person you would get 2 silhouettes for $12 and if you want one of them framed it'd be $22, both framed would be $32.

It literally takes less than 2 minutes for them to cut then just a few minutes to frame. I think we were at the stand for about 10 minutes from the time DS sat down until we were skipping away with our 2 framed silhouettes. I definitely recommend having them framed there. the frames are plastic so they are very light and don't weigh your bag down but don't look cheap and tacky. I've read of people who did not buy the frame having a hard time finding a frame that fit once they were home.

We got one of our one year old in November. They did them in Liberty Square, but there are other locations as well. It did not take too long (no line) and I think we paid less than $30 for two copies and two frames. I would post a picture but i am new here, and don't know how.

I've had a silhouette done of my son on each of our 2 trips and plan to do one every time we go. It's hands down my favorite souvenir!

We just did this in MK last week. My three daughters together with two frames came to $42. It took a whole five minutes so very fast and easy. We saw it in Disney Springs as well.

We are planning to do this for the first time soon, and I read elsewhere that the carts do not accept Disney gift cards or magic bands as payment, but it seems that they do take credit cards, and of course, cash.

I don't know the exact hours, but I know they are closed in the evenings, maybe after 5 or so. I highly recommend them! Ours look exactly like our daughters. It's crazy how great they look considering each one was handcut in less than 2 minutes. Our youngest daughter was getting the "1st Haircut" at Harmony Barber Shop the next day, so i had the silhouettes done before all of her baby curls were cut. Best Disney souvenir!
