Which one would you buy? If a Cricut there are several to choose from so which Cricut. I want to do more vinyl cutouts for t-shirts, bags etc.

TIA

I love my Cameo. I like the 12" wide cutting area. I like that I can buy individual shapes for .99 and I don't have to buy an entire cartridge for a few shapes. The Silhouette store also gives away a free shape every week. Look through the designs and see if they interst you. Also, I don't like the Silhouette brand vinyl (it's been a few years since I've bought it), I'll have to look up the brand I buy.

Thanks. Please let me know what brand vinyl. Also interested in the iron on vinyl as well so if you have any recommendation in the iron on vinyl too.

I just checked and it's Oracal 631, it's thicker and easier to weed than the Silhouette brand. I have a neighbor who sells supplies out of her home, so I get stuff from her. I've heard the Silhouette heat transfer material isn't very good either, but it's been a while since I read that review. Maybe search reviews on it before you buy it. My neighbor sells Siser Easy Weed Heat Transfer Vinyl, so maybe try searching for that too. Silhouette does have some printable heat transfer that I'd like to try, but I haven't ordered any yet. You can also search the internet for Cricut vs Cameo to see other reviews on the machines. Good luck deciding what to do!

Thanks Michelle. I just ordered the Cameo bundle on HSN :thumbsup2 Have you or any others out there made anything Disney themed for shirts etc.. I would love to see pics

TIA

I have both and I use the Cameo way more often. I just did a couple tshirts for our disney trip. I've never posted a picture so I'm sorry if it doesn't work.

I have the cameo and I love it! I did my first vinyl project this week and it worked really well. I used the vinyl from Hobby Lobby and it worked just fine. I bought some of the Cricut heat transfer stuff, but I haven't used it yet. I'm too cheap to pay shipping and that was the brand they had at Hobby Lobby. Your projects look great! I'm excited to try that in the future!

I have the subscription for the downloads and HIGHLY recommend it, especially at first. I pay like $18/month and get $250 credit each month to spend! It's great for building up my account. And I NEVER have to hesitate if I want to buy something.

Another question on the designs for the Silhouette. What all is legal to sell from the designs that are made and put on items like shirts, mailbox monograms, mugs etc..? (monograms etc...)

When you buy them, you can select for personal use or for business use. Not all items are available for purchase for business use. You have to select how many times you will sell something with that logo on it, and then you pay accordingly. For unlimited use, they typically cost $50, for up to 250 uses, it's $20.

We own both and prefer the cameo
In fact the circut just sits around and we never use it

can any of the Cameo owners recommend a good national brand marker to use for color fabric transfers that fit with the pen holder?
