Signs of Christmas where you live

Ok i know i'll probally get linched for this thread , but here goes

Is there any signs of Christmas where you live?

I have just come back from Belfast , and resturants are now taking booking for christmas parties and christmas day dinners

Butchers have posters - Order your christmas turkey now

and one of the bands in the 12th parade where playing jingle bells and rudolph the red nosd reindeer lol

After all its only 5 days to Christmas in July !!

LOL, I'm too busy packing to be thinking about Christmas, though I do have my shopping lists ready for the Christmas decoration and Secret Santa exchanges for when I'm away

Our butcher has the Christmas food sign up already, I have started stitching my christmas cards, I usually cross stitch special ones for my family and they need doing in advance!

I was in Birthdays yesterday and overheard 2 shop assistants talking about doing a stock take this week in preperation of the Christmas stock arriving in August.

No other visible signs of Christmas around here but there is a couple where my in-laws live who have Christmas decorations up in their front garden all year round. They normally start switching the lights on around July time so I will have to ask Mother when I speak to her if Christmas has arrived in Caister yet

DH and I run a Hallmark store and we have had our Christmas cards on order since last January! We will start receiving Christmas stock in August too, the suppliers offer incentives like extra discount if you will take delivery early.

Can't believe I missed this thread! The mere mention of christmas gets me excited! Bring it on!

I have a house like that at the end of our road - they leave them up all year long & then when it is christmas hardly ever switch them on???

I have got quite a bit of my christmas shopping done already. I tend to pick things up through out the year when I spot things that I know the recipent will love. Like Mandy I too have my shopping list ready for my september trip, to get gifts for the upcoming DIS christmas exchanges.
